11 “And the merchants of the earth weep and mourn over her because no one buys their cargo anymore— 12 cargo of gold, silver, precious stones, and pearls; fine linen, purple, silk, and scarlet; every kind of citron wood, every article of ivory, and every article made from very valuable wood, bronze, iron, and marble; 13 cinnamon, spice, incense, perfume, frankincense, wine, olive oil, fine flour, wheat, cattle, sheep, and cargo of horses, carriages, slaves, and human lives. 14 The fruit you long for has left you, and all things that were luxurious and splendid have passed away from you and people will no longer find them. 15 The merchants of these things, who became rich from her, will stand at a distance because of the fear of her torment, weeping and mourning,
The buying and selling element of the beast’s mark is more visible in Revelation 18: 11-15 than anywhere in God’s word. The physical, carnal mind’s total focus on buying and selling rather than that mark of the beast is about worship. A physically carnal-minded person does not matter if they are an atheist, Christian, Jew, or Muslim. They will only care about how or where they get what they need to survive. When the Lord sees you or I worship our essentials more than Him, He takes those essentials away. The Egyptians worship the sun god Ra, and the Lord knew that. Lord sent Moses to tell the Egyptian Pharoah to free the Hebrew enslaved people so that they may go worship God. Sadly, King Rameses II worshipped Ra, and himself so he was not going to obey God. So the Lord, the great Light of the world took away what Egypt worshiped, its essential sun, and without sunlight, the moon, nor did the stars in the night sky shine any light.
Exodus 10:21 Then the Lord said to Moses, “Stretch out your hand toward the sky, so that darkness may come over the land of Egypt, a darkness which [is so awful that it] may be felt.” 22 So Moses stretched out his hand toward the sky, and for three days a thick darkness was all over the land of Egypt [no sun, no moon, no stars]. 23 The Egyptians could not see one another, nor did anyone leave his place for three days, but all the Israelites had [supernatural] light in their dwellings.
According to earth, history Exodus took place 1303–1213 BC, ancient Egypt did not have electric street lamps, and it would have been impossible to light torches without sunlight. Ancient Egypt was not the only culture that worshiped the sun, and parts of pagan Christianity adopted sun worship. When I was a curious little boy, I would ask my father silly questions about God. One night at bedtime, I asked my daddy, “Did God really make cars, and planes, if God makes everything? My father replied, “yes, Samuel, God made the steel that cars and airplanes, are made of,” now pray for your sister and brother and go to sleep. The apostle John wrote a gospel that was according to his eye witness of Jesus our Lord, he also wrote three letters, that have the characteristics of the Antichrist, and he also wrote Revelation. John’s writings are like the rest of God’s word, a gospel testimony the Lord God is the Maker of heaven and earth, and all that is within it.
John 1:2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him not even one thing came into being that has come into being. 4 In Him was life, and the life was the Light of mankind.
On the day of judgment, God will reward those who worship Him with meaningful everlasting life. The wicked, however, will have their cars, homes, servants, jobs, and even food to eat and clothes to wear, but the Lord God Almighty will take away all their idols in a flash. God will be vindicated; His worshiper will receive His heavenly kingdom. The rest will receive the darkness of hell. God bless you all; Jesus, the giver of everything, loves you, and do I. 1 Corinthians 10:25 Eat anything that is sold in the meat market without asking questions, for the sake of conscience; 26 for the earth is the Lord’s, and all it contains. 27 If one of the unbelievers invites you and you want to go, eat anything that is set before you without asking questions, for the sake of conscience. 28 But if anyone says to you, “This is meat sacrificed to idols,” do not eat it, for the sake of that one who informed you and for the sake of conscience; 29 Now by “conscience” I do not mean your own, but the other person’s; for why is my freedom judged by another’s conscience? 30 If I partake with thankfulness, why am I slandered about that for which I give thanks? 31 Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all things for the glory of God. 32 Do not offend Jews or Greeks, or the church of God; 33 just as I also please everyone in all things, not seeking my own benefit but the benefit of the many, so that they may be saved.
