Revelation 17:3-4 The Mark Of Blasphemy

Revelation 17:3-4

3 And he carried me away in the Spirit into a wilderness; and I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast, full of blasphemous names, having seven heads and ten horns. 4 The woman was clothed in purple and scarlet, and adorned with gold, precious stones, and pearls, holding in her hand a gold cup full of abominations and of the unclean things of her sexual immorality.

The apostle John in the book of Revelation was already seeing a prophetic vision of God’s judgment. The book of Revelation is biblical events that happen before the foundation of the earth and until judgment day and even past it. The Spirit of God takes John into the prophetic view of a wilderness. The wilderness is like a person’s walk of life, and in the end, their testimony is how they lived. Did they love God, by living by His word, and if they slipped, did they say, I am sorry, please help me. The famous Christian hip-hop/rock artist Toby Mac, who was a founding member of DC Talk, lost his firstborn son in an accidental drug overdose. He was devastated by the death of his son, but he and his wife made the statement, “We serve God because we love God, even when He gives blessings and takes them away. We believe God will help us rise from this valley of shadow and death.” God rescued Israel from physical slavery, but spiritually, they remained slaves to sin. They receive physical and spiritual blessings, but it was never enough. They doubted who God was ungrateful for His blessing, so for their punishment, they wander the wilderness for forty years. The Lord is watching to see if we honor or reject Him and if we give thanks for our blessings, physical and spiritual blessings. Some people ask God to bless their daily meals, both physical food, and spiritual bread. Some people offer their children to God and bless their children in a godly way, and some do not. The lady in the wilderness is like a church, who teaches in an anti-Christ manner. She will teach God’s word is flexible, His law is abolished, so churches and Christians may believe this blasphemous lie. Therefore, churches will be flexible, with living immorally. The woman in the wilderness is like a street corner prostitute, but trying to be religious. She uses fleshy worldly means to get attention, shiny jewelry, and worldly items. Like with fake eyelashes, fake nails, and cosmetics to draw extra attention to herself and evil ways. Her goal is to take your blessings, bless herself with them, and leave you with nothing. In the end, you do not enter God’s promised land. My dear brothers and sister, your heavenly Father’s promises are real. His church does not make itself look pretty. His way is more rewarding. It rewards you with the truth. Ask yourself, my dear brothers and sisters, are you trusting spiritual truth or physical lies? God bless you, Jesus the bridegroom loves you, and so do I. His bondservant, Samuel H.

Luke 12:8  “Now I say to you, everyone who confesses Me before people, the Son of Man will also confess him before the angels of God; 9 but the one who denies Me before people will be denied before the angels of God. 10 And everyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man, it will be forgiven him; but the one who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit, it will not be forgiven him.
