Romans 9:1-5 I Want My Kinsman to Accept Jesus

Romans 9:1-5

1 I am telling the truth in Christ, I am not lying, my conscience testifies with me in the Holy Spirit, 2 that I have great sorrow and unceasing grief in my heart. 3 For I could wish that I myself were accursed, separated from Christ for the sake of my brethren, my kinsmen according to the flesh, 4 who are Israelites, to whom belongs the adoption as sons, and the glory and the covenants and the giving of the Law and the temple service and the promises, 5 whose are the fathers, and from whom is the Christ according to the flesh, who is over all, God blessed.

The apostle Paul called him a Hebrew of Hebrews & he was Pharisee, a teacher of the law & he thought like all the Jews of Israel at once. He thought with all his heart, Jesus was the false Messiah, but the Lord  showed Paul the error of his beliefs. So in Paul sorrow & with grief in his heart, he wanted his fellow Hebrew people to accept Jesus Christ as the Lord, he called them kin people in the flesh. We all have kinsmen in the flesh are people we love, who do not believe in Christ, or if they do they really don’t show it in any way. I have family members I would love to accept Jesus as their Savior & have a more purpose driven life, but they are stubborn like my old self. There is no greater joy for a loved one to see another kins people receive salvation & know that you will see. Scripture says God is over all people over the Israel of the flesh & the Israel of the Spirit, but only those who accept Jesus as the Son of God, is the true Israel

Romans 9:1 I am telling the truth in Christ, I am not lying, my conscience testifies with me in the Holy Spirit, 2 that I have great sorrow and unceasing grief in my heart. 3 For I could wish that I myself were accursed, separated from Christ for the sake of my brethren, my kinsmen according to the flesh, 4 who are Israelites, to whom belongs the adoption as sons, and the glory and the covenants and the giving of the Law and the temple service and the promises, 5 whose are the fathers, and from whom is the Christ according to the flesh, who is over all, God blessed forever. Amen.
