Romans 12:17-21 God’s Love and God’s Vengeance
Christians & non-Christian alike but don’t approve when injustices happen & an innocent becomes a victim of hate. How we act & how the Lord wants us to act can be different, according to Scripture. The Law of God is for His people to love each other, that is the sum of the 10 Commandments; 100% for God & for each other.
Matthew 22:36 “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?” 37 And He said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.’’ 38 This is the great and foremost commandment. 39 The second is like it, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’
The Holy Bible I read & I’m sure you read or hear, tells me to love you, no matter what, even if I disagree with you. But in the world there is more love of self & less of others people who God made in His image. You & I were made in God’s image & the image of God is love, not hate. God doesn’t know what hate is & to be honest, He doesn’t understand. It simply didn’t exist until the act of self-love which is sin. When someone wants to hurt someone that is the act of hate, & the love of God is not in his or her heart. The Holy Bible says hate comes from quarrels. A quarrels act of discomfort, something that takes away someone pleasure & all they want to do is get rid of their discomfort, for some that could be murder.
James 4:1 What is the source of quarrels and conflicts among you? Is not the source your pleasures that wage war in your members?2 You lust and do not have; so you commit murder. You are envious and cannot obtain; so you fight and quarrel. You do not have because you do not ask. 3 You ask and do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, so that you may spend it on your pleasures.
Like i stated early in the devotional the 10 Commandments of God’s Law is love, if i murder someone then I have broken the 6th commandment & I have taken a life of which a person God loved, if He didn’t He won’t have made them & putting His breath of life in their body. When a life is taken, the Scriptures demand a life for a life, blood for blood.
Leviticus 24:17 ‘If a man takes the life of any human being, he shall surely be put to death.
The believers of God’s word & non-believers all want justice, the non-believer asks for man’s judgment or they will take it upon themselves to seek blood or blood, or eye for an eye. The Christians who know God’s word, know God wants justice & He will pass His Holy Judgment, & unlike man, He see no favorites, He judges according if we treat someone with God’s love or in a love of self. The definition of sin is a love of self, it is not an accident that there is a I in between S & N. If I love myself & I am a selfish person, I don’t really care about loving others or the Lord God, to hell with them I just please myself. That is why is is easy for someone to commit a act of murder, cause they never love that person & they won’t miss them when they are gone. But the Lord God knows when you are killed; He doesn’t hear you praising Him anymore;
Psalm 115:17 The dead do not praise the Lord, Nor do any who go down into silence;
You might say, hey Sam? How can a person who didn’t believe in God stop praising God if they stop praising Him, If they never praised Him. That is plain & simple my dear friends, if you have the breath of God in your lungs, you praise God each time you exhale, that is for believers & non-believers of the God of Creation. He made you where you would praise Him, unknowingly to your human ears.
Psalm 150:6 Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord!
