Revelation 17:8 Is Your Name Marked?

Revelation 17:8

“The beast that you saw was, and is not, and is about to come up out of the abyss and go to destruction. And those who live on the earth, whose names have not been written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, will wonder when they see the beast, that he was, and is not, and will come.

It will be challenging to wonder who the beast is and its mark, especially for those whose name is not in the Lamb’s book of life. Why may you ask? It is because they do not know who the Lamb is, nor His word, and what does it say who the beast is? Many lukewarm Christians want to understand the Holy Bible’s prophetic words physically. However, those born of the spirit will be the ones who understand God’s word and inherit His kingdom. The Lamb’s book of life is called that because Jesus Christ Himself is the only one who writes and removes names from it. Therefore, only the Lord has access to it, and only Jesus knows who does His will and who does not. Judgment is not reserved for only those living in the final days. Notices in Revelation 17:8 says from the foundation of the earth, that means anyone and everyone who has ever lived. Therefore when the Lord stops writing names in His book, He will know who is His and who is not. Salvation will be given to those who accept the Holy Lamb of God, and the rest will perish. Notice the book of Revelation, in Chapter 14 and other places, says those who receive the mark the beast, will receive it on their forehead, and right hand, they will worship it, and that receive God’s wrath in the presence of the Lamb.

Revelation 14:9 Then another angel, a third one, followed them, saying with a loud voice, “If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives a mark on his forehead or on his hand, 10 he also will drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is mixed in full strength in the cup of His anger; and he will be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb.

Not everyone knew how to read and write in the ancient world, and illiteracy was common. Only wealthy children got an education, less fortunate kids got no schooling. If children knew how to read and write, their parents taught them; other than that, they were illiterate. If an illiterate person needed to sign his or her name for a legal document or agreement, they would sign an x in front of witnesses, which would be their mark. Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior, and if anyone disobeys His word, He will remove the mark of their name from the book of life. It is that simple, brothers and sisters. So how is it possible for anyone to keep his or her name in the book of life? God the Father is loving and He does not want any of His children to perish. He sent His only begotten Son into the world to die and paid for their sins. Our part is to believe Jesus is Lord, and you and I can truly call ourselves His child. His name, His mark will be on hearts and minds, then if we obey His word and voice. When we slip and fall short, tell the Lord we are sorry, and our name will remain in His book of life. For the rest of humanity or mankind, they never really knew the Lord ultimately. They understand we are saved by grace, but God’s grace teaches His children to live like Him. The Antichrist teaches is okay to disobey the Lord, and many antichrists will do the Antichrist’s will. Therefore, their name or mark will not be in the book of life when the Lord slams it shut, and they those who are saved let them be saved and those who are doomed, let them remain, doomed. God bless you all, Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God loves you, and so do I. His bondservant, Samuel H.

Genesis 4:15 So the Lord said to him, “Therefore whoever kills Cain, vengeance will be taken on him seven times as much.” And the Lord placed a mark on Cain so that no one finding him would kill him.

Jude 10 But these people disparage all the things that they do not understand; and all the things that they know by instinct, like unreasoning animals, by these things they are destroyed. 11 Woe to them! For they have gone the way of Cain, and for pay, they have given themselves up to the error of Balaam and perished in the rebellion of Korah. 12 These are the ones who are hidden reefs in your love feasts when they feast with you without fear, like shepherds caring only for themselves; clouds without water, carried along by winds; autumn trees without fruit, doubly dead, uprooted; 13 wild waves of the sea, churning up their own shameful deeds like dirty foam; wandering stars, for whom the gloom of darkness has been reserved forever. 14 It was also about these people that Enoch, in the seventh generation from Adam, prophesied, saying, “Behold, the Lord has come with many thousands of His holy ones, 15 to execute judgment upon all, and to convict all the ungodly of all their ungodly deeds which they have done in an ungodly way, and of all the harsh things which ungodly sinners have spoken against Him.”
