Revelation 12:6-9 Lucifer’s Mark of His Rebellious War

Revelation 12:6-9

6 Then the woman fled into the wilderness where she had a place prepared by God so that there she would be nourished for 1,260 days. 7 And there was war in heaven, Michael and his angels waging war with the dragon. The dragon and his angels waged war, 8 and they did not prevail, and there was no longer a place found for them in heaven. 9 And the great dragon was thrown down, the serpent of old who is called the devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him.

Of all places for a war to take place and the very first war of all wars was in the kingdom of heaven and the god of sin started it. The Devil is written about many times in the word of God, he is called  Lucifer, Satan, and of course the Devil. Revelation 12 says that Satan and his demonic followers were cast out of heaven a couple of times as a result of the war, but why, the answer is other parts of scripture. The Devil first appears in Genesis 3, but the war began with the heart and mind of Lucifer and said he was better than God the Creator, seat on the Lord’s throne can control the congregation of angels.

Isaiah 14:12 “How you are fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! How you are cut down to the ground, You who weakened the nations! 13 For you have said in your heart: ‘I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God; I will also sit on the mount of the congregation On the farthest sides of the north; 14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds, I will be like the Most High.’

The father of lies was lying to himself and other angels of heaven were deceived by Lucifer, but the Lord was very aware of Lucifer’s sinful heart and since His prince Michael to cast Lucifer out of heaven. Who is Prince of God Michael exactly? He appears in the book of Daniel a few times, Jude and Revelation, but He plays a key role on judgment day, and the book of life is with Him, and tell who will have everlasting life or everlasting contempt, (Daniel 12:1-3 ).

Daniel 12:1  “Now at that time Michael, the great prince who stands guard over the sons of your people, will arise. And there will be a time of distress such as never occurred since there was a nation until that time; and at that time your people, everyone who is found written in the book, will be rescued. 2 And many of those who sleep in the dust of the ground will awake, these to everlasting life, but the others to disgrace and everlasting contempt. 3 And those who have insight will shine like the glow of the expanse of heaven, and those who lead the many to righteousness, like the stars forever and ever.

Revelation 12 is about the war between the male child, the dragon who is the devil, and the woman who gave birth to the male child. The kingdom of heaven never had war, until Satan wants to overthrow God, the Lord wasn’t going to tolerate it, so Michael threw him and his followers out. Warfare causes mass confusion, massive damage, the holy word of God is written to the followers of God, and it is His letter and warning saying if you and I want to live in God’s heavenly kingdom and you want your name in the book of life,  don’t be disobedient like Satan. Revelation 12 is about two signs from heaven, the Son of God, and the red dragon ( Satan), one sign is still in heaven, the other is here on earth still fighting his war, with the church of Christ. God bless you all, Jesus the Lord loves you and so do I, Samuel Head.

Luke 10:18  And He said to them, “I watched Satan fall from heaven like lightning. 19 Behold, I have given you authority to walk on snakes and scorpions, and authority over all the power of the enemy, and nothing will injure you. 20 Nevertheless, do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rejoice that your names are recorded in heaven.” 21 At that very time He rejoiced greatly in the Holy Spirit, and said, “I praise You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that You have hidden these things from the wise and intelligent and have revealed them to infants. Yes, Father, for doing so was well-pleasing in Your sight.
