Proverbs 9:10-12 I Fear God

Proverbs 9:10-12 I Fear God

Proverbs 9:10-12

10 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.11 For by me your days will be multiplied, And years of life will be added to you. 12 If you are wise, you are wise for yourself, And if you scoff, you alone will suffer from it.

Between 2001 and 2002, my walk with God somewhat began. I got baptized and attended church every Sabbath, but my walk with the Lord isn’t as intense as it is now. In many ways, I held back myself, not a little of myself but a whole lot of myself. 2017 I was moving to the big city of Charlotte North Carolina and my pastor, must have been moved by the spirit of God and ask me, “ Do you pay tithe, Sam, “ and I told Pastor Hean, “ No, not really,’ My friend Donovan Williams, also told me, “ Sam, you pay tithe, trust the Lord with your money and He will bless you,” For many years my ministry was sending scripture by text message and many years it was a simple Bible verse. Then one day I had a strong urge to add my own Bible teaching commentary. My mission or goal was to share God’s word, but what happened was I read God’s word more to help me teach and explain what His holy word says. I have heard it many times, Sam you are so wise, my friend Beverly will tell me. Personally, I don’t feel wise, personally, I never thought of what I do as a ministry, I only want to share the gospel good news to as many people as possible. The fear of the Lord is very visible to me, wisdom begins, and not being like a scoffer that fights back at God, like a disobedient child. The word of keeping His word, obey His commandment, and days will be added to your life. In the world of Christianity and the different ideas or teachings of life, death, heaven, and hell, some believe a soul sleeps the dead lay in their grave until judgment day. Others believe at the time of a person’s death, they either enter heaven or hell, immediately. But it seems so odd to me if Christians believe in heaven immediately at the time the human heart stops beating, why do so many followers of God spend so much money staying alive? The life of believers of God will be longer, not only in heaven but here on earth as well. His word tells His children what to eat, His word tells how to raise your children and to teach them about God your and their Creator. His word tells us how to handle our finances and to honor God with wealth and time. His word teaches to love and treat others like you and I want to be treated, the golden rule, otherwise, if you and I mistreat someone, we might get hurt in return. A scoffer rejects the words and instructions God gives and only gets upset if they get caught in their disobedience and keep living the unwise lifestyle that leads to death. A wise child of the Lord, loves the Lord not only to love God and not for the benefit of a heavenly home but to have peace of mind, that he or she lives the true purpose of life, love your God and Creator you made you and me, to love Him with our whole existence. As yourself, are you truly living for yourself, if so do you truly love yourself, then my friend do yourself a huge favor love God, with all of your heart, soul, mind, and body, life will be a treasure to God and more so to yourself? God bless you all, the Lord Jesus loves you and so do I, Samuel J H.

John 12:25  The one who loves his life loses it, and the one who hates his life in this world will keep it to eternal life. 26 If anyone serves Me, he must follow Me; and where I am, there My servant will be also; if anyone serves Me, the Father will honor him.
