Proverbs 4:10-15 Walk By His Word

Proverbs 4:10-15 Walk By His Word

Proverbs 4:10-15

10 Hear, my son, and receive my sayings, And the years of your life will be many. 11 I have taught you in the way of wisdom; I have led you on the right paths. 12 When you walk, your steps will not be hindered, And when you run, you will not stumble. 13 Take firm hold of instruction, do not let go; Keep her, for she is your life. 14 Do not enter the path of the wicked And do not walk in the way of evil. 15 Avoid it, do not travel on it; Turn away from it and pass on.

An infant son and daughter are born unable to walk, as they grow, first come crawling, and with the help of mom and day, the young child will learn to walk on their own. Mom and dad will hold their child by their hands, helping to walk, mom and dad will set themselves in front of their child encouraging them to walk to mommy or daddy. I remember how long it took me to learn how to ride a bicycle on my own, without training wheels. My father would hold would help me and giving me support. I remember when I finally learn how to balance my bike, my dad was cheering behind me. Walking with Lord has to learn by our Father God instruction like the Lord is how others will see the Lord in us,  God desires, a child of God. The godly walk like God, the wicked walk and why they want that doesn’t look godly and it may look like how a drunk or how a lost person walks. It can be like a lost child, going to a stranger and asking, ‘ Hey mister have you seen my mommy, “ the stranger may say, “ What does your mommy look like, what is she wearing? ‘. Only a couple of people went to heaven without dying and Jesus wasn’t one of them, Enoch walked with God and he was taken away.

Genesis 5:24 Enoch walked with God; and he was not, for God took him.

Enoch was the son of Cain, who scripture says is wicked but somehow Enoch learns to walk like God. The New Testament says Enoch was taken cause his faith was pleasing to God.

Hebrews 11:5 By faith Enoch was taken up so that he would not see death; and he was not found because God took him up; for before he was taken up, he was attested to have been pleasing to God. 6 And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for the one who comes to God must believe that He exists and that He proves to be One who rewards those who seek Him.

Walking by God’s word is very pleasing to Him, walking by what seems right in our eyes, isn’t very pleasing. It is simply being stubborn, that is why Jesus says we must have child-like faith. A loving child wants to imitate their mother and father and walk like them. King Solomon is teaching his son, not only his but all the sons and daughters of God, with his words of wisdom in the book of Proverbs, listening and walk by  God’s words and you will have a long happy life. The life God makes long and prosperous, with many blessings is both here in life on earth and in the kingdom of heaven. God bless you all the Lord Jesus loves you and so do I. Samuel J Head

Jude 14 Enoch, who lived in the seventh generation after Adam, prophesied about these people. He said, “Listen! The Lord is coming with countless thousands of his holy ones 15 to execute judgment on the people of the world. He will convict every person of all the ungodly things they have done and for all the insults that ungodly sinners have spoken against him.” 16 These people are grumblers and complainers, living only to satisfy their desires. They brag loudly about themselves, and they flatter others to get what they want.
