Proverbs 2:9-11 God’s Wisdom Isn’t Socially Acceptable
The wisdom and knowledge that comes from God gives perfect peace of mind, without any personal turmoil. The best way to explain this Bible passage is to use the DC Talk song “ Socially Acceptable” that was on their album, “ Free At Last”. The lyrics of the songs says, “ Society has gotten outta wack because history reveals to me how ethics were lost; In reality, our decency has taken a plunge, “In God, We Trust” is an American pun Funny how it happened so suddenly “ Anyone with common sense sees that scripture gives him or her insight on the chaotic world we currently live in. Sins which scripture calls abominations are socially acceptable, and if a Christian says they aren’t, political correctness will call you a hater. All sin is an abomination against God but let me just use two that have become, socially acceptable.
Leviticus 18:21 “Do not permit any of your children to be offered as a sacrifice to Molech, for you must not bring shame on the name of your God. I am the Lord. 22 “Do not practice homosexuality, having sex with another man as with a woman. It is a detestable sin.
Sacrificing children and homosexuality is an abomination to God but in large its acceptable to current society. Norma McCorvey ( Jane Roe ) was the lady who went to the US Supreme Court in 1973 and said abortion was unconstitutional, so abortion became legal and is now called a medical practice. The Bible calls abortion sacrificing a child, in a socially acceptable world, it is called a woman’s right to do whatever she feels for her body, the child has absolutely no say so. Norma McCorvey later in life became a born again Christian and said, her action was the biggest mistake in her life. Among suicide rates, the LGBT community; same-sex relationships, and transgender are higher than heterosexual people. So what scripture is saying In Proverbs 2:9-11, the wisdom that God gives is His way is proper and peaceful and gives a life full of everlasting joy. God bless you all, Jesus loves you and so do I.
