Proverbs 11:8 When the Children Cry

Proverbs 11:8

The righteous is delivered from trouble, And it comes to the wicked instead.

Suicide is sad, and sometimes, people feel like it is better to die than to be living, but a mass suicide is even more of a tragic event. There are many mass suicides in earth history, and most times, it’s a religious community that has killed themselves. In Jonestown 1978, a total of 909 people, adults, and children died of mass suicide. Not all died of suicide. Jim Jones shoot and kill anyone who tries to run away. A total of 909 adults and minors died. Not all died of suicide, Jim Jones told guards to shoot and kill anyone who tries to run away. Jonestown was highly religious and wanted to separate themselves, from the world, but they couldn’t escape the trouble of death. 2001 I bought a copy of the latest Guinness book of the world record; as many of you know, it has some pretty odd records people want to break, and many don’t. The highest fall from without a parachute and surviving are one, but the most significant mass suicide is another world record many lines up to break. In the year of 73 AD, the Jewish community of  Masada committed mass suicide, and a total of 960 died. Just like modern-day Christianity with many different denominations, the religion of Judaism had other groups with different beliefs; the Pharisees and Sadducees were the most popular. The Sicarii Jews of Masada were totally against the Roman empire and separated themselves from everyone. Masada is a high cliff in the southern part of Israel, so high up and out in the middle of nowhere, the Sicarii Jew felt like they were safe and far away from the Romans. They may have stayed safe, but they were not ordinary Jews who follow the word of God to the letter. The Sicarii Jews are the world’s oldest group of organized assassinations. The hitmen of Sicarii would hide in large gatherings of people and stab any Roman then walk away as nothing happen. The Jewish-Roman war was happening at this time; Rome was tired of the constant rebellion of the Jews, and war had started. When Rome learned who was killing their people went after them. The Sicarii Jews; decided it was better to kill themselves rather than be slaves of the Roman empire. The Jewish historian Josephus’ who was a part of the Roman forces, wrote what happened that day. The Jewish men of Masada who were taught to be heads of their household did everything; they hug and kiss their children and wives goodbye, then cut their necks, then the husband kills himself. A scroll of Leviticus was found with them, which is a part of the Torah, part of five books of Moses. This means they knew God was against, murder even self-murder. God’s word is against sacrificing children, and the book of Leviticus teaches this. The wives are old enough to make their own choices if they want to live or die, but children? The wisdom of Proverbs 11:8 says the righteous will escape trouble, but just because someone calls themselves a Jew or Christian doesn’t make them righteous, by God’s word.

Deuteronomy 4:8 And what great nation has decrees and regulations as righteous and fair as this body of instructions that I am giving you today? 9 “But watch out! Be careful never to forget what you yourself have seen. Do not let these memories escape from your mind as long as you live! And be sure to pass them on to your children and grandchildren. 10 Never forget the day when you stood before the Lord your God at Mount Sinai, where he told me, ‘Summon the people before me, and I will personally instruct them. Then they will learn to fear me as long as they live, and they will teach their children to fear me also.’

Real children of God, do the will of the Heavenly Father, and killing yourself should never be a thought the enters your heart, and murdering your family and children, should be far from a godly man’s heart. God bless you all, the Lord Jesus loves you all, so do I. Samuel J Head.

Leviticus 20:2  “Say to the Israelites: ‘Any Israelite or any foreigner residing in Israel who sacrifices any of his children to Molek is to be put to death. The members of the community are to stone him. 3 I myself will set my face against him and will cut him off from his people; for by sacrificing his children to Molek, he has defiled my sanctuary and profaned my holy name. 4 If the members of the community close their eyes when that man sacrifices one of his children to Molek and if they fail to put him to death, 5 I myself will set my face against him and his family and will cut them off from their people together with all who follow him in prostituting themselves to Molek.
