Matthew 5:18-19 Beatitude of Jots or Tittles Not Passing Away

Matthew 5:18-19

18 For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled. 19 Whoever therefore breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

This Scripture can be confusing to some people & even to some church teaching, but Lord Jesus is very blunt in His sermon. Jesus tells the congregation, until heaven & earth  pass away, not one jot or one tittle of the law or Torah, would not pass away, until heaven & earth pass away. Guess what children of the Lord, you are standing or walking on the earth, & the sky & outer space above you is what scripture heaven.

Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

The heaven & earth God created in Genesis 1:1 , still exists, the Lord did flood the world,but it only covered God’s world with water, when it dried up, Noah’s family & the animal continued to inhabit the world & look to heaven. The Book of Genesis is in the Torah which Jesus said would not pass away. Jesus also said whoever teaches it is okay to break any of ten commandments  of God, would be called least in the kingdom of heaven. Whoever does them & teaches to keep them would be great in the same kingdom of heaven. Let be honest with each other brothers & sister, how many of you have been taught the Laws of God were done away with at the cross of Jesus. The heavens & earth did not pass away at Jesus death, they both reacted but they still remain.

Matthew 27:50 And Jesus cried out again with a loud voice, and yielded up His spirit. 51 Then, behold, the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom; and the earth quaked, and the rocks were split,

Luke 23:44 Now it was about the sixth hour, and there was darkness over all the earth until the ninth hour. 45 Then the sun was darkened, and the veil of the temple was torn in two. 46 And when Jesus had cried out with a loud voice, He said, “Father, ‘into Your hands I commit My spirit.’ ” Having said this, He breathed His last.

The Lord has a very close relationship with creation, even when they are disobedient, the flowers do what they are made to do, the honey bees help them pollinate  & we get honey from it, because heaven & earth haven’t passed away, we have beatitude to tasty honey. If the Laws of nature still work, why is the Laws of God can’t work also and provide a blessing, is what the word beatitude means. The Word of God says over  over the commandments & the law is good;

Romans 7:12 Therefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy and just and good.

Even when Jesus stops preaching you are blessed after Matthew 12, we still have beatitudes in sermon on the mount. The Lord God does not change, even if mankind changes how it gets majority transportation by a horse and now an automobile or aircraft, Jesus will never change & He will never pass away. If you do thank God changes, ask the Holy Bible which you say you live by, if He does.

Malachi 3:6 “For I am the Lord, I do not change; Therefore you are not consumed, O sons of Jacob.

If you are listening to someone who says the Law has passed away, simply ask them to look at the ground & the sky, & tell them stop calling the Lord a lair. God bless you all, the Lord Jesus loves you & so do I. Sam H.

1 Timothy 1:7-9  desiring to be teachers of the law, understanding neither what they say nor the things which they affirm.8 But we know that the law is good if one uses it lawfully, 9 knowing this: that the law is not made for a righteous person, but for the lawless and insubordinate, for the ungodly and for sinners, for the unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers, 10 for fornicators, for sodomites, for kidnappers, for liars, for perjurers, and if there is any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine,
