Matthew 25:10-13 The Shepherd’s Oil Overflows

Matthew 25:10-9

10 But while they were on their way to buy the oil, the groom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding feast; and the door was shut. 11 Yet later, the other virgins also came, saying, ‘Lord, lord, open up for us.’ 12 But he answered, ‘Truly I say to you, I do not know you.’ 13 Be on the alert then, because you do not know the day nor the hour.

The parables of Matthew 24 and 25 are about last day final events and Jesus wants His disciples to be prepared and not foolish. There is the responsibility on behalf of the believer to get self ready and to teach others how they can be saved also. The gift of salvation is meant for more than just a few and Lord wants you to share the gift with all God’s children . My favorite Bible passage is Psalm 23 and it seems to cover all topics, the Lord provides all you and I need cause He is our Shepherd. He gives a  restoration by giving you and I His holy name. With His rod He protects you and I and all gives a little correction and directs to the path He wants you and I to walk. Now when it comes to the foolishness of my enemies, sometimes God will give me His sword as the word to deal with them and then again, He might give me a lamb to eat. Oh my enemies have the right to eat the lamb, but no way that would be too prudence of them and the way of cross is foolishness to them.

1 Corinthians 1:18 For the word of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.

The Shepherd Psalm starts by allowing God to be your Lord, who  gives salvation. The Lord gives them a blessing of an anointing  of oil is the system of God’s Holy Spirit. Without allowing God to be God and just listen to your own direction and being foolish, the door of the house of God will be shut and entrance will not be allowed.  The goodness and mercy of God will only follow you forever if you prudence enough to let Him. Samuel H

Psalm 23:5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; my cup runs over. 6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
