Matthew 21:37-39 A Plot To Kill The Son

Matthew 21:37-39

37 But afterward he sent his son to them, saying, ‘They will respect my son.’ 38 But when the vine-growers saw the son, they said among themselves, ‘This is the heir; come, let us kill him and seize his inheritance.’ 39 They took him, and threw him out of the vineyard and killed him.

The vineyard the wealthy man had in the parable of the wicked tenant is the world. The servant that the vineyard owner sent to receive his crop and check on his property were prophets of the Old Testament. Each time  vineyard workers who paid rent to the landowner, they assaulted them and even killed them. It could be for many reasons, to keep from paying rent, to keep the share of owners chop to eat or sale for profit. The vineyard finally said, I need to stop sending these hired servants and send my Son, surely they will respect my Son. But the hearts of the tenant had less respect for the owner’s Son then all of the hired servants. No only did they want to kill Him, but take His inheritance, which was all of the earning His Father ever gained. It doesn’t take much of genius to see that Vineyard  owner Son represents Jesus the Son of God. The people of Israel, lived on the promiseland that the Lord told Abraham come here and live and be My people. They walked the ground God made, their food grew by the air, rain and sunshine God gave. They didn’t have a wall around Israel and even under Roman rule, they had safety and the Roman allowed them to worship God with freedom.  Jesus the Messiah came as prophecy ever since God told Adam and Even in the garden of Eden, I will deliver a Son from your seed to crush Satan’s head and free you from sin.  The presence of Jesus the Son of God was unwelcome by the people allowed to live on the Earth God created and they plotted to kill Him. The fake religious leader was more concerned with losing their high place as teachers of their God and their nation Israel to Rome rather than saved from the bondage of Satan and the desire to continue to live in sin.

John 11:47 Therefore the chief priests and the Pharisees convened a council, and were saying, “What are we doing? For this man is performing many signs. 48 If we let Him go on like this, all men will believe in Him, and the Romans will come and take away both our place and our nation.49 But one of them, Caiaphas, who was high priest that year, said to them, “You know nothing at all,

The people of Israel recognised Jesus as the Son of God, but wanted His death and to take the land God made with His own hands and the fake religious leader wanted the human glory of the Father’s God glory and authority. God bless you all, the Lord Jesus loves you and so does His vineyard worker Samuel J H.

John 11:50 nor do you take into account that it is expedient for you that one man die for the people, and that the whole nation not perish.” 51 Now he did not say this on his own initiative, but being high priest that year, he prophesied that Jesus was going to die for the nation, 52 and not for the nation only, but in order that He might also gather together into one the children of God who are scattered abroad. 53 So from that day on they planned together to kill Him.
