Matthew 18:32-35 Once Forgiven Always Forgiven??

Matthew 18:32-35

32 Then summoning him, his lord said to him, ‘You wicked slave, I forgave you all that debt because you pleaded with me. 33 Should you not also have had mercy on your fellow slave, in the same way that I had mercy on you?’ 34 And his lord, moved with anger, handed him over to the torturers until he should repay all that was owed him. 35 My heavenly Father will also do the same to you, if each of you does not forgive his brother from your heart.”

If the Parable of the unmerciful servant teaches anything, it is that once saved always saved doesn’t exist. The servant who begged for forgiveness and his debt was erased , didn’t save from the punishment that temporarily waived. If a follower of Christ has a failure to determine love and forgiveness to others, then he or she has forfeit their salvation. Being a Christian is just like being a member of a country club or even a nation, you agree to live by the laws, the country club gives you privileges.  One of the rules of being a Christian, we His ambassadors have reconciliation and of course reconciliation with others.

2 Corinthians 5:18  Now all these things are from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation, 19 namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and He has committed to us the word of reconciliation. 20 Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making an appeal through us; we beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.

It is plain to see and understand, brothers and sisters, you and I go to God, cause He loves us and forgives us over and over again and again. If we know we are full of flaws and mistakes, shouldn’t we understand others are full of the same flaws. If there is such a thing as once saved, that person must get in right the first time and all the time. Showing love, mercy and grace is always fulfillment of God’s holy law. Samuel H.

Luke 17:3 Be on your guard! If your brother sins, rebuke him; and if he repents, forgive him. 4 And if he sins against you seven times a day, and returns to you seven times, saying, ‘I repent,’ forgive him.
