Matthew 18:23-27 The King and Master of Forgiveness
When a person has so much debt and he or she knows that they will never make enough money to pay it off, they can either do 2 things. One is like what I used to ignore and hope nothing happens, the other is go to the person you owe the debt to and beg and plead to ask the debt to be erased. This parable of unmerciful I broke into two parts, the first part to mercy of a king. This is how Jesus explains the attitude of how the Lord is His mercy and forgiveness. This man goes to his king and begs for his master’s mercy, because he knows he has created too much debt and simply will never be able to pay it. Most kings and rulers have rumors of how they are, are they merciful or just very harsh. If the king’s rumor of him being harsh, then maybe this dude probably let town and take his chance at having a head start of being far gone before his master knew. But this king must have heard of having mercy, but still the servant went not just on his hands and knees, but flat down on the floor begging to be forgiven of his heavy debt. Now this servant must have loved his king or master very much, cause the thought be sold, not only himself but his family to another master was more than he could bear. The king full of love for his servant, said his power and authority said,’ All you owe me is forgiven and exist no more, you and your family can live debt free.” How wonderful this man felt, the king lifted the stress, pressure and heavy that a heavy debt can cause. I bet this servant had lost a sleepless night and couldn’t eat a few so worried about himself and his family. The Lord Jesus did the same for you and me, we owe Him a major debt, because we are sinful in nature. We are His creation and He asks us to obey if we love Him, disobedience calls for death not to be sold to another master and move away. Now God is like this king, He allows His servant to live when He calls for a collection of payment, He demands to be paid or move you be put away. If you or I accept Jesus, then our debt is paid in full, just because He paid our debt with His death, that was demand for our disobedience. All you have to do is admit your debt can never be paid and simply ask the King of Kings for His mercy and say please Lord forgive me. His Holy Scripture tells He is faithful and full of mercy to forgive those who call Him Lord and repent. Ask yourself, are you tired of living under heavy debt, debt of maybe not having your God true love. A debt that maybe you have sinned too much, and you are far too gone to have forgiveness and access to the kingdom of heaven. Do yourself a favor, stop listening to the Devil, and trust God’s word, He loves you and is always ready to forgive your debt and tell. You can go live in peace, live debt free and be carefree. If you want to know how to do this, ask me, my name is Sam. God bless you all, the Kings go Kings love you and so do I. Samuel H.
