John 2:9 Sharing the Good Taste

John 2:9

When the master of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine and did not know where it came from (but the servants who had drawn the water knew), the master of the feast called the bridegroom.

The Master of the wedding feast was a little busy to know the wine was running out, but he was even more unaware of where the best tasting wine came from. The wedding feast in John chapter 2 is amazing because it was Jesus’ first miracle. And the gospel in a nutshell. Mary, the mother of Jesus, knew He was the Son of God and wanted to share the miracle her Son was and asked Him to provide more wine. He questioned her at first but honored her requests. The wedding servants did not question Jesus’ request to fill the stone jars full of water, they only honored His command. When Jesus said to go, let the Master taste, they did as He said. We are supposed to be bondservants of the Lord. We are to help others to the Master in the kingdom of heaven. It is like sharing good-tasting wine. I will tell my brothers and sisters, and all I meet, taste this good news gospel. Let me tell you about the God of love, what He has done for me, and what He can do for you. That is easy to do, my brothers and sisters. Just honor and obey Jesus’ words, and it will help you and me to the Master. Too many people question the Lord or even doubt Him. they hinder themselves and others. Some add personal understanding to scripture, or they may remove words that do not suit them, which make them their own master. We are not supposed to change the message of God between the Savior to the Master. We defile God’s word and make it pure vanity when we do that. The Holy Bible has the same messages from the Old Testament to the New Testament, and if anyone questions that, just look at the world today and how many honor each other, like the God of love asks us to. The Holy Bible is a wedding invitation to judgment and if anyone adds or removes from it, they disobey what God’s word commands us to do.

Deuteronomy 4:2 You shall not add to the word which I am commanding you, nor take away from it, so that you may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I am commanding you.

Modern-day Christianity is full of different teachings and beliefs. The message of the Bible is like a wedding invitation, it tells the dress code. It tells you and me how we are to live, so we can behave properly at the great wedding feast.  Those who have not read the wedding invitation will be caught naked or be underdressed, and not allowed in such a special event. Some wonder what day the true Sabbath is or is on, or if it is every day, or is it about worship or taking an all-day nap. Some wonder what happens at death, is judgment day one or many days. Some wonder if the Lord Jesus is the only one to worship and pray to, or if Jesus’ mother Mary is a deity. Some wonder is the gift of tongues. evidence of salvation. Some mistreat others in God’s name, and that makes His name meaningless. The master at the wedding feast is like the lost who get saved, yummy this tasty, let me tell others, the best is still available no matter what. You and I should do the same, yummy God is good, let me tell you what He has done for me. God bless you all, the Bridegroom Jesus loves you, and so do I. His bondservant, Samuel J Head.

Revelation 22:17 The Spirit and the bride say, “Come.” And let the one who hears say, “Come.” And let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who desires take the water of life without cost. 18 I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: if anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this book; 19 and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his part from the tree of life and from the holy city, which is written in this book. 20 He who testifies to these things says, “Yes, I am coming quickly.” Amen. Come, Lord Jesus. 21 The grace of the Lord Jesus be with all. Amen.
