John 10:7-10 The Good Shepherd’s Door to Life

John 10:7-10 

7 So Jesus said to them again, “Truly, truly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep. 8 All who came before Me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not hear them. 9 I am the door; if anyone enters through Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture. 10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.

The Doors were a American rock band formed in LA in 1965, they were a very  controversial band because the lyricist Jim Morrison wrote. The band took its name from the title of Aldous Huxley‘s book The Doors of Perception.  It was a wise name for the band because the book is about philosophy and talks about the strong reaction of  psychedelic drugs. They are drugs that are thought to push the mind to do better art, science and even religion. Jim Morrison was heavy into drugs, and his religion was that Jim Morrison thought he was god, and his lyric in The Doors music was his gospel. Unlike the Jesus who is the Good Shepherd, if anyone follows Him and has life more abundant, Jim Morrison’s life and the Door music career was short lived. Anyone who doesn’t make Jesus his shepherd, has a thief  as shepherd, who really doesn’t know how to lead himself to peaceful green pastures. Jesus is the true door of the house of God. He knows what the inside of the house of God looks like, a thief makes a wreck of everything and leaves a mess when he leaves. When a thief invades a house, he is there for one thing, to take what he wants and if anyone gets in the way, they die. Jim Morrison had a weird thought, at the age of 5, his family was traveling through New Mexico. His family’s car passed an accident and Jim saw a Native American dying on the side of the road. In Jim’s mind at the age of 5, he thought the man was shaman, a native american medicine man. He said that he felt the soul of a medicine man enter Jim’s body and he was no longer a 5 year old boy, but a elder native spiritual leader. Jim’s major medicine for his religion was LSD or acid, and plenty of women. The Doors did six albums and that was about it, Jim’s religion of sex, drugs and rock n roll killed him at the age of 27 in a bathtub in the city of Paris,  France. If Jim would have the true door to life more abundant, He would be an old man today and maybe alive. I used to heavy into rock n roll and acid and even marijuana. I gave up drugs, but still listen to rock, but i try positive rock with encouraging lyrics. The Lord is my Shepherd now, and when I listen to His true voice, life and the true pursuit of happiness are for sure and guarantee promise. If you want to know more about the true Shepherd and His door that leads to life more abundant read and listen to His true voice to life everlasting.
