Daniel 2:1-3 God of Ungodly King’s Dreams

Daniel 2:1-3

1 Now in the second year of the reign of Nebuchadnezzar, Nebuchadnezzar had dreams; and his spirit was troubled and his sleep left him. 2 Then the king gave orders to call in the soothsayer priests, the conjurers, the sorcerers, and the Chaldeans, to tell the king his dreams. So they came in and stood before the king. 3 The king said to them, “I had a dream, and my spirit is anxious to understand the dream.”

Many Christian believe the Lord can only use godly people to do His will, but scripture is full of peoples the used to demonstrate is God of all creation. Daniel chapter 2 tells the reader and listener of God’s word, the Lord gives the king of Babylon a prophetic dream. The dream is a nightmare to King  Nebuchadnezzar, but a dream to a man who doesn’t believe in God and sees the destruction of his kingdom and the end of the earth should be surely scared enough to wake up and find out what he just dream about. The ungodly king didn’t know what to do but wanted the meaning of his dream. The Babylonian kings had Chaldeans astronomers, that study the stars of the night sky to try to foresee the future. Stars don’t answer questions, no matter how much a person says, tinkle, twinkle little star, the young Hebrew boy Daniel knew the maker of the stars knew the answers, so he went to God in prayer as ask the Lord for help. Daniel told Nebuchadnezzar, that God knows all the secrets of the universe, it is God who makes and removes kings and He told Daniel the meaning of Nebuchadnezzar’s dream. Four major Empires ( kingdoms ) will rule the world and exist, before the earth’s last day and God’s kingdom last forevermore. The four empires are from first to last is of course  Nebuchadnezzar’s Babylonian, Medo-Persia, Greek,   and Roman empires. There have many Empires all over history and the world, Egyptian Empire, Ancient Chinese Empires, Maya. Aztec, and the British Empire. God gave to Nebuchadnezzar in a dream, are major kingdoms the rule of the great mass of, land and a long period of time, and some of the practices they still exist. It was the Babylonian who put 60 seconds in a minute, sadly cause of Babylonian astrology, many people look and trust the stars for their daily horoscope prediction. The Greek empire started the first libraries,  Mathematics, Architecture, and Olympics games. The last empire Rome ended inn AD 286 which became the Holy Roman Empire. What empire in Nebuchadnezzar’s dream are the current people of the world in and how far away is God’s kingdom? We are in divided kingdom, a mixture of different elements of each kingdom and the Lord’s final judgement can and will happen and anytime soon. Many people of different countries are worried about the future of the nation they love and live in , because the leaders they have.

Philippians 3:20  For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ;

The apostle Paul wrote our citizenship is of the kingdom of heaven and Jesus is the Lord of it, so I would like to ask the follower of God, who is your trust in, a earthly kings, emperor, president, do you treasure the kingdom of the nation you live in now, or the better one, come. People say, “ No justice, No Peace,’ that will never exist in this world, as long as Satan is alive and those who live as their father the devil. Daniel 2:44  And in the days of those kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom which will never be destroyed, and that kingdom will not be left for another people; it will crush and put an end to all these kingdoms, but it will itself endure forever.
