Acts 21:9-14 Ready To Die For Christ

Acts 21:9-14

9 Now this man had four virgin daughters who were prophetesses. 10 As we were staying there for some days, a prophet named Agabus came down from Judea. 11 And coming to us, he took Paul’s belt and bound his own feet and hands, and said, “This is what the Holy Spirit says: ‘In this way the Jews at Jerusalem will bind the man who owns this belt and deliver him into the hands of the Gentiles.’” 12 When we had heard this, we as well as the local residents began begging him not to go up to Jerusalem. 13 Then Paul answered, “What are you doing, weeping and breaking my heart? For I am ready not only to be bound, but even to die at Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus.” 14 And since he would not be persuaded, we fell silent, remarking, “The will of the Lord be done!”

The Book of Acts in chapter 9 verses 15-16, the Lord said he was gonna make Paul a chosen instrument & Paul was gonna suffer for Jesus name sake. When I posted Acts 9:15-16, I couldn’t understand suffering for Jesus. Paul in his heart knew, he was gonna suffer, for beginning the ministry to declare Jesus is the Messiah, who the Fake Religious leaders killed & who Paul was a instrument to make Jesus followers suffer. Now the fake religious leader, Fake Religious leaders wanted Paul dead & his message of Jesus love to stop & the Roman Empire was gonna do it. Paul was warned by the Holy Spirit, if he went to Jerusalem to teach about Jesus, to the people he love, the Jewish leader, would catch him, cause he would be in the lion’s den. Paul knee the people of Jerusalem was hungry for God’s word, Paul was gonna be instrument Jesus made him to be & he didn’t care if it cost him his life, he said he would do it all in Jesus name. Dear brothers & sisters, if the man who called himself the chief of all sinners, would every aside in Jesus name to spread the gospel & say Let the Lord will be done, what are you gonna do in Jesus name. Would be less worried about earthly prosperity to make the kingdom of God prosper, would you give a delicious meal, & probably have bread & water like Paul had while chain & lock up writing the thirteenth book of the New Testament, cause the Sadducee & Roman Empire couldn’t truly stop his mission Jesus gave him. Being a Christian is like admiring a beautiful rose bush, it looks good & smell pleasant, but get closer & embrace the rose brush, the thorns will cut you & make you bleed. Paul’s desires wasn’t not this temporary life of a temporary beauty, but to lead as many of God’s children to a permanent garden of that will never make those who desire to embrace the Rose of Sharon to suffer or bleed ever again. The will of the Lord be done, do you agree? God bless you all, devotional by Samuel Head hope I’m prepared to suffer also.

1 Peter 4:16 but if anyone suffers as a Christian, he is not to be ashamed, but is to glorify God in this name.
