James 1:13-15 Lead Me Not

James 1:13-15

13 No one is to say when he is tempted, “I am being tempted by God”; for God cannot be tempted by evil, and He Himself does not tempt anyone. 14 But each one is tempted when he is carried away and enticed by his own lust. 15 Then when lust has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it has run its course, brings forth death.

When a person says it is God’s fault that their life is a mess because he or she was led by temptation and sin, they really know how they know God and His word. God’s instruction ever since creation, the  Lord has said obey Him and have a happy life and be blessed. If a person wants to be tempted they usually know where to go, or what tv channel to turn to, what word to type for google search to look up and they know what places to visit. Adam and Eve knew where the good and evil was,  Eve told the serpent it was in the middle of the garden and God said do not eat of that tree. Both Adam and Eve ate from the tree of good and evil, and they knew very well what it looked like and it tasted like hundred percent sin. When God asked them have you eaten of the tree of good and evil, and Adam said yes, and it was because you made the woman and I sin because it was your fault.

Genesis 3:12  The man said, “The woman whom You gave to be with me, she gave me some of the fruit of the tree, and I ate.”

Derek  Webb was a Christian performing artist I used to enjoy, he was in a  group named Caedmon’s Call which I love  very much. He started a solo career and was very successful, with seven albums, with ten GMA Dove awards. On April 17, 2014 Derek Webb’s wife Sandra McCracken announced they were  divorcing , because he was unfaithful and had extramarital affairs. Sense that time Derek left his Christian faith, now makes music questioning God and other Christian’s faith and a lot of foul language. This man who used to sing about loving Jesus now blames him for his failed marriage, some would like to ask if Derek loved God the whole time he sang about Him or did Derek love himself more ?
