Mark 4:26-29 Organic Growth In Christ Parable
The Parable of the Seed is a little different from the Sower of the Seed, it is more about a Christian inward growth rather than the outward. The Lord is still Seed provider but the growth of the seed solely depends on the soil. Many people seem to worry about correcting themselves before ever entering a church and giving themselves to God, but it doesn’t happen that way. Sadly the majority of the people who think that way will never enter a house of God because they never allowed their bodies to become a temple of God. A farmer or a person with a green thumb know a seed can not grow until it is bury inside the soil underneath the suffer, Jesus explains this the gospel of John;
The religious leaders who I call fake, the Pharisees were totally more concerned with outward appearance rather than inside their self loving hearts. A ground that is stony cannot have a garden or else the farmer will have to do some heavy plowing to break the ground, but he would rather not. The Lord will not work with hard hearts, He will just let them have their stubborn ways. My sister in Christ Christy asked why God gave the Egyptian’s Pharaoh from the book of Exodus a hard heart, since the Lord gave us freewill. When Pharaoh found out he wasn’t as a god as he was raised to be, and that his fake magic was less powerful than the Lord of creation who could staff snakes and mighty River Nile into undrinkable blood, the soil of his heart became heavy as asphalt.
Exodus 7:13-14 And Pharaoh’s heart grew hard, and he did not heed them, as the Lord had said. 14 So the Lord said to Moses: “Pharaoh’s heart is hard; he refuses to let the people go.
Sadly the Pharaoh is like so many people of the world, they want their blessing here and now. So many people give their hearts to Jesus, but it is only very briefly because Christian growth is overnight. The farmer who plants the seed does very little work to make the seed grow. Most of the labor is the Lord’s, when the farmer is asleep the soil feeds the seed, and inch by inch the sprout forces itself out the loose ground and then the leaves are showing. The growth of a farmer’s crops are mostly unseen, same as Christian. The more a son or daughter of God surrenders themselves they will grow more and more into His glorious images. When the time is right the Lord will come to collect His children for the most amazing harvest, will you surrender your heart and let His gospel seed grow within you.
