9 Then those from the peoples, tribes, tongues, and nations will see their dead bodies three-and-a-half days, and not allow their dead bodies to be put into graves. 10 And those who dwell on the earth will rejoice over them, make merry, and send gifts to one another because these two prophets tormented those who dwell on the earth. 11 Now after the three-and-a-half days the breath of life from God entered them, and they stood on their feet, and great fear fell on those who saw them. 12 And they heard a loud voice from heaven saying to them, “Come up here.” And they ascended to heaven in a cloud, and their enemies saw them.
The book of Revelation can be puzzling and hard to understand, but mostly for the people whose faith more physical-minded and not spiritual-minded. God is Spirit, His word is Spirit and you and I were born with physical bodies that trust more what is tangible, even if we say we are believers and walk by faith and not by sight, in times of trouble, real faith or a lack of will some kind of action, positive or negative. Revelation chapter 11, can be puzzling to a lukewarm Christian, and just who or what are the two witnesses or two prophets, that once alive they are killed, dead for three days the rise up and go to heaven. Some Churches, Bible scholars, preachers, and teachers, may say the two witnesses are the final day living breathing flesh and blood men or even women. Flesh and blood might be life and living according to the medical science of mankind but in the spiritual life and our walk with God, His holy word is living breathing life.
Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is living and active and full of power [making it operative, energizing, and effective]. It is sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating as far as the division of the soul and spirit [the completeness of a person], and of both joints and marrow [the deepest parts of our nature], exposing and judging the very thoughts and intentions of the heart.
The two witnesses in Revelations 11:3 are exactly what verses 11 say they are prophets, God’s messages. God’s word, the Holy Bible as a whole is complete as the Old and New Testament. In Genesis 2:7 when God made Adam the first man, the Lord grabs dust, made the form of man, but he was just a shell of an empty body until God breathed into the nose and lungs of Adam, God’s breath and Adam became a living soul.
Before Moses wrote the Torah, God’s word was passed down, by word of mouth from father or parent to their children. Adam and Eve told Cain and Abel about God and His power to give life by His breath and with the same power to take it. Abel learns God’s word very well, but sadly his brother Cain didn’t, so Cain killed him. God’s word in completion, Old and New Testament is the Lord’s best prophet, and when mankind tries to make it silent, hard to read, or even make it illegal, the power of the Holy Spirit will not allow it. In the last days of earth history, those who read God’s word, live by God’s word, and share God’s word, will keep the breath of life that allows them to keep it and live, forever. Otherwise, those who reject God’s word, not honoring the marks of ink written scrolls, or paper, or even digitals on electric devise screen will overall, lose the breath of life and simply be no more. Ask yourself this brothers and sisters of God, are you reading and eating your daily bread, do you treasure the breath of life in your lungs, if so say Amen, if not, please get busy reading the Holy Spirit and let His holy word inside your body. I love the marks and the words of the Bible and I know exactly why scripture says, Let everything that has breath, praise the Lord. God bless you all, the Lord Jesus loves you and so do I, His bond-servant Samuel.
Job 4:3 Behold, you have taught many, And you have strengthened weak hands. 4 Your words have helped the stumbling to stand, And you have strengthened feeble knees. 5 But now it comes to you, and you are impatient; It touches you, and you are horrified. 6 Is your fear of God not your confidence, And the integrity of your ways your hope? 7 “Remember now, whoever perished being innocent? Or where were the upright destroyed? 8 According to what I have seen, those who plow wrongdoing And those who sow trouble harvest it. 9 By the breath of God, they perish, And by the blast of His anger, they come to an end.
Job 27:2 “As God lives, who has taken away my right, And the Almighty, who has embittered my soul, 3 For as long as life is in me, And the breath of God is in my nostrils, 4 My lips certainly will not speak unjustly, Nor will my tongue mutter deceit. 5 Far be it from me that I should declare you right; Until I die, I will not give up my integrity. 6 I have kept hold of my righteousness and will not let it go. My heart does not rebuke any of my days.
