Mark 7:8-9 Nailed to the Door, Happy Reformation Day

Reformation Day

8 Neglecting the commandment of God, you hold to the tradition of men.” 9 He was also saying to them, “You are experts at setting aside the commandment of God in order to keep your tradition.

On October 31, most people celebrate Halloween, a holiday where people dress up in something scary or something strange. Children go door to door saying ‘Trick or Treat’ . The majority of the time parents tell their children don’t talk to strangers .There are several holidays that are not in God’s word, but some people consider them special days. Those are just  traditional holidays and nothing really wrong with them. But there is a holiday that most Christians who are should remember. On October 31, 1517  Martin Luther nailed the 95 Theses to the door of the Saints’ Church in Wittenberg, Electorate of Saxony in the Holy Roman Empire. The 95 Theses were basically beliefs from his study of the Holy  Bible, the Luther . One of the main issues Luther has with the Catholic Church, was that they would sell plenary indulgences. a piece of paper or certificate promising you or a loved one, would be in time in purgatory, which is nowhere in Scripture. Martin learned by studying the Holy Bible. On October 31, Reformation Day should be remembered  and celebrated more than Helloween, because thanks to a man like Luther who wanted to serve God and not false religious leaders. He protested their falsehood and the age of the Reformed Protestant Church began. The only one delivery trick is a church that teaches salvation can be bought and paid for, by purchasing bricks for a church building or helping free a dead loved one out of a fantasy place like  Purgatory. Do yourself a favor my beloved family of Christ, read God’s word and see if a man or church teaching is Bible based and not mankind traditions. God blesses you all, the Lord Jesus loves you and so do I. Samuel H

Romans 1:17  For in it the righteousness of God is revealed [a]from faith to faith; as it is written: “But the righteous one will live by faith.”
