John 10:16-18 The Good Shepherd and the Rainbow Tribe

John 10:16-18

16 I have other sheep, which are not of this fold; I must bring them also, and they will hear My voice; and they will become one flock with one shepherd. 17 For this reason the Father loves Me, because I lay down My life so that I may take it again. 18 No one has taken it away from Me, but I lay it down on My own initiative. I have authority to lay it down, and I have authority to take it up again. This commandment I received from My Father.”

Josephine Baker  (3 June 1906 – 12 April 1975), she practiced her own gospel,  the good news of  sharing   love”. She is not talked about during Black History month much and if she was i never heard her name, maybe because she was loved more by the people of France. During her youth she was homeless a few times and had a difficult relationship with her mom. At 15 she went to New York and became an entertainer and her talents were enjoyed and her career took off. Baker’s entertainer career took off in Paris, France where she became a major celebrity. In 1929 Baker became the first African American to Yugoslavia and perform. Even if her name isn’t part of mainstream conversation other historical characters of her time knew her, Ernest Hemingway called her “the most sensational woman anyone ever saw. In 1937 she married a French man and became a French citizen and didn’t want to be a American anymore. Her other title was being a part of the Civil Right Movement, but her movement was with children. She began by adopting children and she called her adopted children her rainbow tribe.  “children of different ethnicity and religions could still be brothers.” She loved her rainbow tribe and traveled with them everywhere. She used her Rainbow Tribe that racism was something that was taught and that natural children are born with the capabilities to practice and show love. Baker raised two daughters, French-born Marianne and Moroccan-born Stellina, and 10 sons, Korean-born Jeannot (or Janot), Japanese-born Akio, Colombian-born Luis, Finnish-born Jari (now Jarry), French-born Jean-Claude and Noël, Israeli-born Moïse, Algerian-born Brahim, Ivorian-born Koffi, and Venezuelan-born Mara.   Her love life was  questionable, but her love for children was like no other. She had another sheep like Jesus, Jesus was born into a Jewish family but His mission was to die for and save the people of the world. Any group of people who think the God of creation is only their God, those people have narrow self-loving minds. May the Lord bless you. God loves you and so do I. Samuel H

John 1:29  The next day he *saw Jesus coming to him and *said, “Behold, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!
