21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter. 22 Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?’ 23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness.’
Many people call God Lord & say they believe in a Creator, and try to live right. But according to Jesus preaching from the passage from Matthew 7:21-23, not everyone who calls Lord, Lord will enter the kingdom of heaven. Just like the Bible verse I explain recently Matthew 7:14, many people will want everlasting life but they will enter the gate to death. I know I might make some people angry, but it really doesn’t matter when it comes to the word of God & truth. Personally I am not a big fan of Christmas, because of its pagan roots, but it seems to be the happiest time of the year, (for some). But I am not here to talk about Christmas pagan roots, but about those who call Lord, Lord but really don’t do anything Jesus preaches about, scripture says they are lawless. I am a history buff and I like to look at quotes from people from history and I saw one from one of the American founder Benjamin Franklin, and this is what he said;
“How many observe Christ’s birthday! How few, his precepts! O! ’tis easier to keep holidays than commandments.”– Benjamin Franklin
We American can’t debate whether Ben Franklin was a great man for his time & even today. He invented some things we used today like bifocals, and the Franklin stove, the United State Postal service runs on his ideas, and he was totally against slavery which made him a abolitionist. Benjamin Franklin’s belief in Jesus was questionable, he believed in God of universe but questioned Jesus’ divinity. Nevertheless, Franklin knew the words of the Bible. People are more Christian around Christmas than any other time of the year. The other 11 months of the years, people talk less about Jesus & they really aren’t practicing love for their fellow man. In Matthew 7:23 Jesus will tell those who call Jesus Lord, but practice lawlessness, He will say depart from Me for i knew you not. Maybe the person who believes in Jesus’ birthday, so many non-believe who celebrate Christmas cause it fun, don’t know what the law of lawlessness is according to the words of the Lord. Lawlessness has one meaning;
Now we all are sinners, nothing will change about that until Jesus returns. But a true Christian who understands precepts of Jesus will repent of his or her sins, & ask Jesus to help me sin less. The words of Jesus says a lawless person has a cold love;
Let me ask you something my beloved,do you think people who live today are more or less cold heart then Benjamin Franklin’s (January 1706 to April 1790) days. He lived during the eight years United States war of Independence, the British were cruel & war is hell. Are we any less time of warfare, either with nation against nation or within our own country. Are people who say they believe in Jesus & celebrate His birthday, showing love to one another or is hatred being exchanged. Are family members coming together and passing out the gift of love, or do you see or hear about brothers, sisters, cousins or even parents hurting their love. are unborn children’s lives being taken, by the same people who celebrate Jesus December 25th birthday. Maybe Ben Franklin saw the idea of Christmas as foolish as me, if the holy angels shout this on the night of Jesus birth;
Where exactly is peace among men if Christians are keeping the precept of Jesus’ teaching who was born to have holiday celebrated on behalf of the Prince of Peace. Am I the only one to see the foolishness of people calling Lord, Lord, and they really aren’t casting out demons, they are being demons to one other. I got idea people, let celebrate the birth of Jesus all year around, since it was never told for Christian to do such a idea. Let’s celebrate the gift of Jesus whose birthday Christmas is about loving one another as His Commandment tells us to, which Benjamin Franklin we should do rather than keeping December 25 as Jesus day of birth which cannot be proven by scripture. God bless you all, children of the Lord, Jesus loves you & so do I. Samuel H.
