My daddy taught me a lot of valuable lessons before he die at the age I currently am. He told me to never hate anyone for being a different color & not to use insulting words. I don’t why he told me this, but he said never get a fight with a group of boys, cause I would have to fight all of them. I’m a movie bluff, & love to see movies on the big screen. When the movie ‘Glory’ about the first African American regiment that served in the army to fight for American freedom. I sit & watch men who were allow to be in military, but not allow to battle, but do crappy clean up jobs. They beg to fight & when given then the chance, the whole regiment die together. When I left the theater, I middle of the parking lot a group of young African American boys walk up to me & surrounded me. One said what’s up, I said nothing I just watch a movie, he great & punch me in my face. I remember it hurt, but I kept walking like nothing happened, a younger African American came to me & ask if I was okay, I said yes, he hit like a girl . I have never told anyone this happened, but I take comfort in God Word, cause it tell me this;
Luke 6:27“But I say to you who hear, love your enemies, do good to those who hate you,27 “But I say to you who hear, love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, 28 bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you.29 Whoever hits you on the cheek, offer him the other also; and whoever takes away your coat, do not withhold your shirt from him either.
At the time I hated those boys for showing the hate that Satan teaches & Satan told me it was justified I hate them in return & hope they would burn in hell. But Jesus tells me to love them, in the eyes of the violence deserve violence, but Jesus teaches show love & the Lord will fight our battles. I pray those boys found peace in God, cause I know I have, I don’t fight with a close fist , it on my knees 8 asking God to forgive my enemies & to fight my battles.
