Acts 16:16-18 Most High God

Acts 16:16-18

16 It happened that as we were going to the place of prayer, a slave-girl having a spirit of divination met us, who was bringing her masters much profit by fortune-telling. 17 Following after Paul and us, she kept crying out, saying, “These men are bond-servants of the Most High God, who are proclaiming to you the way of salvation.” 18 She continued doing this for many days. But Paul was greatly annoyed, and turned and said to the spirit, “I command you in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her!” And it came out at that very moment.

In the current era of political correctness, people are taught to co-exist & be more tolerant of each other’s religion, behavior & lifestyle. You see people with bumper stickers that say ‘Co-Exist’ with different religious systems, teaches us must accept each other’s beliefs, & some even believe we all worship the same God. But the Holy Bible is very strict we should not have other gods, other then our Creator God;

Exodus 20:3“You shall have no other gods before Me.

Deuteronomy 6:14 You shall not follow other gods, any of the gods of the peoples who surround you,

So in Acts 16:16-18, when a woman who would use the power of divination, which is a false gift of Satan. With Satan’s gift she would disturb the worship service & mock the servants of the Most High God. Paul, who is not ashamed to call himself the Lord’s servant in the books of the New Testament he wrote, turns & looks at the woman & uses the name of the true Lord Jesus to defeat false god of this woman & immediately, the spirit of divination is out of the woman . If on this day you are confused about who you are to serve or follow, the Lord Jesus is the answer. He is the only God, that is not buried in a grave or tomb, Buddha, Muhammad, & Confucius ,are all dead & buried . My dear brothers & sisters do you believe,Jesus is the only true Lord if so, let Him be the God of your life. Amen. Devotional sent by Sam.

John 14:6 Jesus said to him, “Iamtheway, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.
