2 Corinthians 7:10-13 Sorrow Leads Me to Say, I’m Sorry Lord

2 Corinthians 7:10-13

10 For the sorrow that is according to the will of God produces a repentance without regret, leading to salvation, but the sorrow of the world produces death.10 For the sorrow that is according to the will of God produces a repentance without regret, leading to salvation, but the sorrow of the world produces death. 11 For behold what earnestness this very thing, this godly sorrow, has produced in you: what vindication of yourselves, what indignation, what fear, what longing, what zeal, what avenging of wrong! In everything you demonstrated yourselves to be innocent in the matter. 12 So although I wrote to you, it was not for the sake of the offender nor for the sake of the one offended, but that your earnestness on our behalf might be made known to you in the sight of God. 13 For this reason we have been comforted. And besides our comfort, we rejoiced even much more for the joy of Titus, because his spirit has been refreshed by you all.

A person who is not a believer of the Lord, mostly living to make themselves happy, has no sorrow in his/her heart if they disobey their Creator. It may depend on where a person put his or her pride or trust or love in. The Holy Bible says that the sorrow for the will of God produces repentance & that is gone without regret. There are two types of sorrow, a worldly sorrow and a spiritual. Judas Iscariot, the man who betrayed Jesus, had a worldly sorrow. He had pity on and could not forgive himself, even Jesus, would have very easily done so.  The only way for Judas to free of his guilt or sorrow, was to hang himself & die and he judged himself. The other man who betrayed Jesus the same night Judas, felt sorrow also, he even ran away crying when the words of his friend Jesus came alive. Jesus told Peter, that the same night someone would betray Him and Peter said he would die for Jesus if he had to. Jesus Peter would deny Him three times before a rooster would crow. So when Peter rejected three times as he stood outside & watched Jesus being mocked at, insulted & assaulted, when people said, Peter you look like one of Jesus’ friends, Peter said No I am not three times. Then Peter heard the rooster crow, & the Lord Jesus knew where Peter was, while Jesus was being judged, looked at Peter & Peter felt sorrow & ran away like a crying baby.

Luke 22:60 But Peter said, “Man, I do not know what you are talking about.” Immediately, while he was still speaking, a rooster crowed. 61 The Lord turned and looked at Peter. And Peter remembered the word of the Lord, how He had told him, “Before a rooster crows today, you will deny Me three times.” 62 And he went out and wept bitterly.

My dear friends, it is only by knowing how Jesus looks at us, if we feel sorrow, within ourselves & then ask Him to forgive us. The Holy Scripture tells me and you He will forgive, if we have truly repented heart . A person who gets caught in crime or sin, often only be mad they got caught, but a true sorrowful criminal, transgressor or sinner, will tell the Lord Jesus, I’m sorry I will never do this again. Do you want a new life, my friends, do you want to tell Jesus, I’m sorry I denied You, when you looked at me. Why don’t say these words to yourself; Dear Jesus, I know I am sinner, I have denied You & felt sorrow in my heart. Please dear Lord Jesus, come & live within my heart, Amen & thank you Jesus. The Holy Bible tells me and you that there is joy from all the angels in heaven, when sorrow leads just one person to repentance.

Luke 15:7 I tell you that in the same way, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who need no repentance.

The Lord Jesus, doesn’t want me & you to live in sorrow, or any guilt, He will accept your repentance and He will send His Holy Spirit. His Holy Spirit will help me and you sin less, and we will look pleasant in the eyes of Jesus when He looks at me and you. God bless you & may the Lord look on you & be happy. The Lord loves you and so do I. Samuel H

Psalm 116:3 The cords of death encompassed me And the terrors of Sheol came upon me; I found distress and sorrow.4 Then I called upon the name of the Lord: “O Lord, I beseech You, save my life!”5 Gracious is the Lord, and righteous;Yes, our God is compassionate.
