Romans 15:26-29 IF I Love Jesus, Then I Give

Romans 15:26 For Macedonia and Achaia have been pleased to make a contribution for the poor among the saints in Jerusalem.27 Yes, they were pleased to do so, and they are indebted to them. For if the Gentiles have shared in their spiritual things, they are indebted to minister to them also in material things. 28 Therefore, when I have finished this, and have [b]put my seal on this fruit of theirs, I will go on by way of you to Spain. 29 I know that when I come to you, I will come in the fullness of the blessing of Christ.

The Lord wants us to have a heart like children when it comes to giving, little children have nothing they own, only what their parents provide for them. Little children can find beauty in simple things, we adults can’t. They might pull weeds they see as pretty flowers to give to mom. Children will gather up dirt or mud & make it look like cakes, trying to make a delicious treat for grown ups to enjoy. Parents will just look at their loving sons or daughters, have a laugh, accept their precious gift & say, “I Love you child.” Everything you or I have, belongs to the Lord, we are just borrowing it. He gives ours jobs, the money we make out our jobs, our transportation from point A to point B. Our family members are His, your father, mother, son, daughter & even your friends are His. The Lord even gave Himself to us, as an everlasting gift, so we could have salvation & everlasting life, something me or you couldn’t afford on our own. So when Romans 15:26-29 tells the reader, the church members should give their material belonging & their spiritual belonging to support the poor saints (poor members of the church), they were gladly & willingly to help a loving brother or sister in Christ. It doesn’t always have to be money, I remember when i was out of work & was looking for work, I knew a church near me had a community kitchen, so i gave my time & help feed those who came for a meal. I would even set & with the loving people, cause a conversation is good for digestion, so i would share the love of Jesus. It’s plain & simple, if you say you love the Lord Jesus & if you accept & take His gift freely, you & I should give freely to others. During these times of hardship & people told to stay home & many people will not be able to work & provide for themselves, the church needs to step up & show them love of Christ Jesus. The government during the time the Book of Romans was written did nothing for the poor, only God’s people (church) took care of those who had very little or nothing at all. I hope you church members are ready to do your part, & pray for me so i can do my part. Amen. God bless you & Happy Sabbath, have a restful day in His rest.

Deuteronomy 15:10 You shall generously give to him, and your heart shall not be grieved when you give to him, because for this thing the Lord your God will bless you in all your work and in all your undertakings.
