Romans 15:13 God is the Hope Against the Coronavirus!!
Where do the people of the world get their hope from? For some it is an escape to watch their favorite sport events like the NBA, MLB, NHL, NFL and even the Winter and Summer Olympics. Some people find hope in their jobs, working hard to provide for the family they love and even for themselves. Some people find hope in their education system abd hope for prom and graduation. Some find hope in a weekly gathering of worshipers to give glory and praise and be with other believers. But this world of sin, can rob every person of all their hopes. A few weeks ago my social media was all about different topics, but now it’s the corona virus or COVID-19. I can see people say, where the hell is my basketball game, do I need to buy a prom dress or who to invite to my graduation , or how can I pay my bills or put food on my table for my kids. I even saw people who say they believe in God, say “ Hey Christians where is God in all this and when is He gonna step in.’ I would like to say to those people who wonder where God is, He is in the hearts of the people who put his or her hope in Him. We have read God’s words of promises and we know the Lord is our hope at all time’s, and those who say they believe in God, can only take the words of those who have, and those who don’t believe in any God, might look to the government leaders, but they just debate back and forth as to who is right or wrong and how can i win my job, the next election.
Psalm 33:18 Behold, the eye of the Lord is on those who fear Him, On those who hope for His lovingkindness,
As people look at the current events and worry about tomorrow and how much things have changed. No longer are we looking at the watch or calendar, work schedules, or what to wear to school tomorrow, no longer are countries preparing the Olympic athletes for the summer game in Tokyo. The whole world that doesn’t have hope in God and knows His word, doesn’t know what to do. But I do, these events are only triggered to the soon coming of the Lord Jesus Christ, to destroy this sinner world of deadly disease and virus-like coronavirus, cancer, aids, and swine-flu. People who are asking for prayer for things to return the same are comfortable in this horrible world, where children worry about returning home from school, unborn children have no chance to live and big families only gather at someone’s funeral. If you ask me, I say, come on coronavirus I’m ready to home with the Lord. He is where my hope comes from. People, you should pray for a cure or vaccination for coronavirus, you and I need to prepare our heart and witness to our loved ones, families, friends, co-workers, classmates, and even our enemies, tell them that Jesus is coming again.
