Romans 12:1-2

1 Therefore I urge you, brothers and sisters, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship. 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.

Senator Barack Obama was running for presidential office, he preached a sermon at Ebenezer Baptist Church and used Dr. Martin Luther King’s civil rights movement, Jr. As he was touring the country, and campaigning to win votes, Barack Obama used the opportunity to talk about his policy and ideas for America and to remember Dr. King’s legacy. The future president of the United States of America preached a message of hope and compassion, for males and females, different races, same-sex relationship communities, and immigrants. That is the same message of hope the Reverend Doctor King preached, but something about Obama’s sermon is different. Dr. King’s sermon, yes you American Christians are of this world, but live and love one another because first and foremost, Christians represent the kingdom of heaven. Barak Obama’s sermon gave the Israelites more glory because they worked together as one people and not because they obeyed God’s word, or that loud noise they shouted was the Lord’s name.

The Scripture tells us that when Joshua and the Israelites arrived at the gates of Jericho, they could not enter. The walls of the city were too steep for any one person to climb; too strong to be taken down with brute force. And so they sat for days, unable to pass on through. But God had a plan for his people. He told them to stand together and march together around the city, and on the seventh day, he told them that when they heard the sound of the ram’s horn, they should speak with one voice. And at the chosen hour, when the horn sounded and a chorus of voices cried out together, the mighty walls of Jericho came tumbling down.`President Barak Obama

Barack Obama preached about a deficit, not of the economy but of the morals of Americans, the same message  Dr. King preached about in his sermon, “Paul’s Letter to America”. Dr. King actually quoted scripture, and preach, that if the laws of America and the practice it allows go against God’s word, speak against it because heaven is a Christian’s home not the USA. The word of God that  Doctor  King preached about and lived by is against abortion, the homosexual lifestyle, and returning violence for revenge.  You and I, brothers and sisters must remember Jesus Christ, is the Lord of Lords and the King of Kings, and He is Creator and no American President is nor will they ever be.

 America, I would urge you to bring your moral advances in line with your scientific advances. I am impelled to write you concerning the responsibilities laid upon you to live as Christians in the midst of an unchristian world. This is what I had to do. This is what every Christian has to do.9 But I understand that there are many Christians in America who give their ultimate allegiance to man-made systems and customs. They are afraid to be different. Their great concern is to be accepted socially. They live by some such principle as this: “Everybody is doing it, so it must be all right.” Morality is merely group consensus. In your modern sociological lingo, the mores are accepted as the right ways. You have unconsciously come to believe that right is discovered by taking a sort of Gallup Poll of the majority opinion, and how many are giving their ultimate allegiance to this way. But American Christians, I must say to you, as I said to the Roman Christians years ago, “Be not conformed to this world, but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind.

God’s word is solid and unchangeable, the Constitution is needs amendments added to make it legal for a race of people or gender to have citizenship or may vote. The US, adds laws to allow murder, which many Americans call abortion to be a legal, medical procedure. As a Christian who believes in equal rights, I have no problem with same-sex allowing to be married to me, that is between them and God. But for a Christian church, that performs an unholy act, of the wedding ceremony of a same-sex couple, or for a Christian to support abortion, for government benefits, does not really follow the same Lord Jesus Christ, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. did. Romans 13:1 Every person is to be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except God, and those which exist are established by God. 2 Therefore whoever resists authority has opposed the ordinance of God, and they who have opposed will receive condemnation upon themselves. 3 For rulers are not a cause of fear for good behavior, but for evil. Do you want to have no fear of authority? Do what is good and you will have praise from the same; 4 for it is a servant of God to you for good. But if you do what is evil, be afraid; for it does not bear the sword for nothing; for it is a servant of God, an avenger who brings wrath on the one who practices evil. 5 Therefore it is necessary to be in subjection, not only because of wrath but also for the sake of conscience.
