Revelation 19:9 John’s Written Mark

Revelation 19:9

And the angel said to me, “Write this: Blessed are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb.” and he said to me, “These are the true words of God.”

It is generally understood that when someone asks for your John Hancock, they want your signature and personal autograph. This is because John Hancock’s signature on the Declaration of Independence is the largest and most legible. John Hancock would sign it first since he was president of Congress when the Declaration of Independence was written. There is a rumor that after John signed his name, he said, “I made my name so bold. and ample so that King George can read it without his spectacles. That rumor developed and passed around like standard lies years after the event. No one who originally signed the Declaration of Independence can verify if John Hancock really said that bold quote. The word of God otherwise made bold predictions of judgment day ever since the book of Genesis, and this is solid foundation truth. God told Adam and Eve in Genesis 3:15 that the promised Seed of the Son of God and Son of Man would save them. And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her Seed; He shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise His heel.” Enoch was born in the time of Genesis and was preaching the bold message that the Lord would deliver judgment. His book may not be in the Bible, but the New Testament verifies Enoch gave the same prophetic warning other prophets of God wrote down. So, the message is not meant for just the Jews but for all made in the image of God and for whosoever believes.

Jude 14 It was also about these people that Enoch, in the seventh generation from Adam, prophesied, saying, “Behold, the Lord has come with many thousands of His holy ones, 15 to execute judgment upon all, and to convict all the ungodly of all their ungodly deeds which they have done in an ungodly way, and of all the harsh things which ungodly sinners have spoken against Him.” 16 These are grumblers, finding fault, following after their own lusts; they speak arrogantly, flattering people for the sake of gaining an advantage.   17 But you, beloved, ought to remember the words that were spoken beforehand by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ, 18 that they were saying to you, “In the last time there will be mockers, following after their own ungodly lusts.” 19 These are the ones who cause divisions, worldly-minded, devoid of the Spirit. 20 But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, 21 keep yourselves in the love of God, looking forward to the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to eternal life. 22 And have mercy on some, who are doubting; 23 save others, snatching them out of the fire; and on some have mercy with fear, hating even the garment polluted by the flesh.

Revelation 19:8 reflects on the parable of wearing new garments, like a new wedding dress. Verse 9 reflects the parable of the wedding banquet. Jesus teaches parables to His followers what the kingdom of heaven is like and who will inherit the kingdom of God. Many who are confused by the rapture theory seem to believe the Jews are God’s chosen people, and they will receive extra grace time to recognize Jesus as the Messiah. Jesus’ birth, earthly ministry, death, and resurrection fulfilled all the Old Testament prophecies, but many Jews refuse those fulfilled prophecies. The king in Matthew 22 is an example of Father God, and the son getting married soon is Jesus, the only begotten Son of God. He sent out wedding invitations to his chosen friends of the kingdom. The word of God, even the Old Testament, is the wedding invitation, but the Jews reject it and make poor excuses for not going. Some deliverers of the wedding invitation were abused and killed. This combines prophets who were killed or abused and even the Son of God, who was killed because they rejected the invitation. So, the king (God) had the invitation chosen to annihilate them because they dishonored his authority and his grace. So the gracious king tells his servants to go out into the public and invite many to his son’s wedding feast, free food, and celebration for all who accept. This is like a new covenant invitation because God wants those with a heart and love in His kingdom, not those who feel they deserve it. Many know the proper ways to attend a wedding feast, like many who know how to dress appropriately for church, and many who should know how to be a Christian and let their light shine for the Lord. One individual shows up wearing the wrong garments. The individual has no excuse for wearing the faulty garment; They throw him into outer darkness (hell). The mark of the beast is similar to signing your name on a document as a mark of your approval. Like signing your name to a wedding invitation and saying yes, I will be there. Or yes, I buy this Ford Mustang or Chevy truck. When people say I follow and worship God’s only begotten Son, they agree they love and obey Him and are Christians. On the day of judgment, the Lord will not look at our names, titles, what religion we say we are, or who we worship. He will see if we have accepted His word as truth and if our garments, our lives reflect that truth of His word. They will eat together at the wedding banquet with the Lamb of God when the Lord makes all things brand new. God bless you all. I hope to see you at the wedding feast with the Bridegroom who loves you, and so do I, His humble bondservant, Samuel Jerry Head.

Matthew 22:2 “The kingdom of heaven may be compared to a king who gave a wedding feast for his son, 3 and sent his servants to call those who were invited to the wedding feast, but they would not come. 4 Again he sent other servants, saying, ‘Tell those who are invited, “See, I have prepared my dinner, my oxen and my fat calves have been slaughtered, and everything is ready. Come to the wedding feast.”‘ 5 But they paid no attention and went off, one to his farm, another to his business, 6 while the rest seized his servants, treated them shamefully, and killed them. 7 The king was angry, and he sent his troops and destroyed those murderers and burned their city. 8 Then he said to his servants, ‘The wedding feast is ready, but those invited were not worthy. 9 Go therefore to the main roads and invite to the wedding feast as many as you find.’ 10 And those servants went out into the roads and gathered all whom they found, both bad and good. So the wedding hall was filled with guests. 11 “But when the king came in to look at the guests, he saw there a man who had no wedding garment. 12 And he said to him, ‘Friend, how did you get in here without a wedding garment?’ And he was speechless. 13 Then the king said to the attendants, ‘Bind him hand and foot and cast him into the outer darkness. In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’ 14 For many are called, but few are chosen.”
