Revelation 1:8 A Neverending Mark
When I first became a bondservant of the Lord Most High, I wanted to be technical. Serious about having the right English Bible closest to the ancient Hebrew and Greek writing and some Aramaic in God’s Holy Word. I learned that God and Jesus have in Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek, some of which are Yahweh, Jehovah, Elohim, ABBA, Adonai, and so many more. The Son of God’s name is Yeshua in Hebrew and ancient Greek is Jesus but sounds like Joshua. Still, for many years, the English-speaking world calls the Son of God Jesus. The title Christ means He is anointed, Messiah. Before I had a Bible-blog teaching website or podcast and YouTube channel, I would send daily verses, but the Holy Spirit led me to teach scripture rather than share it. During my research, I found an English Bible called Name’s of God, and it had the proper Hebrew names of the Lord, so ordered a book. When I finally got a Name’s of God Bible I ordered off eBay, I was happy until I saw the 4th commandment, and the word Sabbath was removed for three words that said the day of worship,” that is okay, the word Sabbath is hardly heard in church services anymore. Mostly because they believe is it not meant for the Christians but for the Jews only.
Of course, the Sabbath is a day of holy worship, but it also means a day of rest, spending time with the Lord, and getting to know Him. So many people stressing how to say God’s name correctly, but do they really know Him or His word? The Jews Priest who hung Jesus to the cross called Him Yeshua, but that was a common Hebrew name like Billy or Larry is for English, The Jews crucified Yeshua because they rejected He was the Son of God. Many Christians believe Jesus as the Son of God. but do not honor the Lord’s Sabbath. The Messianic Jewish honor the Sabbath, but put stumbling blocks on believers who don’t say the Lord’s name in Hebrew. The rapture teaching is a belief God will show extra mercy to Israel after the Christians are rewarded eternal life. Years later Yeshua is supposed to return and ask the Jews or others who rejected Jesus as Lord, do you believe Jesus is God now? Many Churchs and Christians teach and believe the New Testament moves the 7th day Sabbath, to the 1st day of the week, or completely abolish it, or Shabbat Shalom is daily. In Revelation 1:8 Jesus says I Am the Alpha and the Omega, and He repeats the same title in Revelation 21:6 and Revelation 22:13. If that is true, Jesus is still Lord of the Sabbath in Genesis 2:1-3 all the way to Revelation 1:10. The final book of the Bible says it is a revelation that Jesus is the Alpha and Omega, who has come and always was, so Jesus is still Lord of the Sabbath. Christians should not defile the Lord’s Sabbath, or make any day or anything holy, period! The word Saturday in other languages does resemble the Hebrew word Sabbath; Saturday, Brazilian Portuguese: Sábado, Croatian: Subota, Czech: Sobota, French: Samedi, Galician:sábado, German: Samstag, Greek, ??????? [Sávvato], Italian: Sabato, Spanish: Sábado and Ukrainian: C????? [subota].
The book of Revelation is a divine revealing and testimony that Jesus is the Lord. The main reason the 7th day was made holy is to remember God is Creator and no one else can make heaven and earth in 6 days. So the question is my brothers and sisters, are the followers of God Almighty concerned about how to properly say the Lord’s name, but forgetting to obey the very commandment that says remember His the Creator of it all, the Alpha and the Omega. On the last day of this evil world’s history, the Lord will reward those who did not take God’s name in vain. God’s name is taken in vain when we, His children, do not live by His word and misrepresent His Holy name. God bless you all; the Alpha and Omega loves you, and so do I.
