Revelation 17:3-4 The Mark Of Blasphemy
The apostle John in the book of Revelation saw a prophetic vision of God’s judgment. The book of Revelation is biblical events that happen before the foundation of the earth, in the present time and soon to come. The Spirit of God took John into the prophetic vision of a wilderness. The wilderness is like a person’s walk of life; in the end, their testimony is how they lived. Did they love God by living by His word, and if they slipped, did they say, I am sorry; please help me? The famous Christian hip-hop/rock artist Toby Mac, a founding member of DC Talk, lost his firstborn son in an accidental drug overdose. He was devastated by the death of his son, but he and his wife said, “We serve God because we love God, even when He gives blessings and takes them away. We believe God will help us rise from this valley of shadow and death.” God rescued Israel from physical slavery, but spiritually, they remained slaves to sin. They received physical and spiritual blessings, but it was never enough. They were ungrateful to God for His blessing, and they were unloyal in their worship. So because of their doubt, they wandered in the wilderness for forty years, and many of them perished. The Lord is watching to see if we honor or reject Him and if we give thanks for our physical and spiritual blessings. Some people ask God to bless their daily meals, physical food, and spiritual bread. Some people offer their children to God and bless them in a godly way, and some do not. The lady in the wilderness is like a church, who teaches in an antiChrist manner. She will teach God’s word is flexible and that His law is abolished, so churches and Christians may believe this blasphemous lie. Therefore, So-Called Christians will be flexible with living immorally. The woman in the wilderness is like a street corner prostitute, trying to be religious. She uses fleshy worldly means to get attention, shiny jewelry, and worldly items. Like with fake eyelashes, fake nails, and cosmetics to draw extra attention to herself and her evil ways, her goal is to take your blessings, bless herself with them, and leave you with nothing. In the end, her followers do not enter God’s promised land. My dear brothers and sisters, your heavenly Father’s promises are real. His church does not make itself look pretty. His way is more rewarding. It rewards you with the truth. Ask yourself, my dear brothers and sisters, are you trusting spiritual truth or physical lies? God bless you; Jesus, the bridegroom loves you, and so do I. His bondservant, Samuel Jerry Head.
