Revelation 14:2-3 A Friend In God Mark

Revelation 14:2-3

2 And I heard a voice from heaven, like the sound of many waters and like the sound of loud thunder, and the voice which I heard was like the sound of harpists playing on their harps. 3 And they *sang [a new song before the throne and before the four living creatures and the elders, and no one was able to learn the song except the 144,000 who had been purchased from the earth.

The beast of the book of Revelation has a voice, worship him and his image, and you will be provided for. All creation needs their provision from somewhere, in the garden of Eden, the Lord God, and food from Adam and Eve, and all was good. Still, yet the Lord told Adam and Eve to keep the garden pretty and name the animals, do as I say and life will stay good and long-lasting.

Genesis 2:15  Then the Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to cultivate it and tend it. 16 The Lord God commanded the man, saying, “From any tree of the garden you may freely eat; 17 but from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for on the day that you eat from it you will certainly die.”

The serpent came along and told Eve a lie and trust his lie and she deceives her husband, after the fall of man, sin entered the world, so did sin. Sin causes life to get more difficult and the labor a person had to do, was hard labor and it had to happen. Disobedience causes labor to harder and stressful but it had to happen to have provisioned, and the Lord said, long life is gone you will evidently die.

Genesis 3:17  Then to Adam He said, “Because you have listened to the voice of your wife, and have eaten from the tree about which I commanded you, saying, ‘You shall not eat from it’; Cursed is the ground because of you; With hard labor, you shall eat from it All the days of your life. 18 Both thorns and thistles it shall grow for you, Yet you shall eat the plants of the field; 19 By the sweat of your face You shall eat bread Until you return to the ground Because from it you were taken; For you are dust, And to dust, you shall return.”

The voice of the one you worship or trust to get your provision is the one you will hear the most. Abraham trusted the voice of God, especially when it came to worship, to some God’s voice sound dripping water, to others like the sound of crashing waves or loud thunder. When the Lord told Abraham to leave his homeland and go place far away and stop when the Lord’s voice say this is your new home, Abraham traveled about 700 miles, ( Genesis  11-12). God made a covenant promise to Abraham, he and his wife would have a son, ( Genesis 15) even she was as old as many grandmothers or great-grandmothers, it took 20 years for Abraham and Sarah to see this promise of God happen. When the son,( Genesis 21). Abraham was very happy with the only begotten Son, the Lord gave him, and Sarah, but one day God said, hey Abraham, I want you to offer me your only begotten son to me, as offering worship to Lord God you love and trust. Abraham did as God said, and his son Isaac went as well, as they got close to the moment of worship, Issac asks his father, daddy where is the lamb for our worship, his father reply, my son God will provide the lamb.

Genesis 22:7  Isaac spoke to his father Abraham and said, “My father!” And he said, “Here I am, my son.” And he said, “Look, the fire and the wood, but where is the lamb for the burnt offering?” 8 Abraham said, “God will provide for Himself the lamb for the burnt offering, my son.” So the two of them walked on together.

Father and son went to worship God the way the Lord told them, Abraham lay down his son 0n pile of the word, said I love you Issac and I love God too, so I give you to Him.  When Abrahan rise his knife about to sacrifice his only begotten son, the Lord saw his devotion, stop I know and see that you love Me and have to provide a way to worship Me. Issac’s father Abraham was very happy, the Lord saw his devotions and gave him the reward to allow his son Issac to live and he gave the Lord and name that means the Lord provides.

Genesis 22:14  Abraham named the place Yahweh-Yireh (which means “the Lord will provide”). To this day, people still use that name as a proverb: “On the mountain of the Lord it will be provided.”

The Great I Am, of the Old Testament, is the same Great I Am of the New Testament, the Lord who provided for father Abraham, also give to those who hear His thunderous voice now. Revelation 14 says the Lamb is standing on Mount Olive and all the worship Him, have His name written on their forehead. Abraham was ready to offer up his only begotten son for worship to God, but God said, belief in Him and His only begotten Son and the promise He gave to Adam and Abraham will be yours, that is the promise of provision and everlasting life, and peace in the kingdom of heaven. God bless you all,  Jehovah-Jireh loves you and so do I, Samuel J H.

James 2:20  But are you willing to acknowledge, you foolish person, that faith without works is useless? 21 Was our father Abraham not justified by works when he offered up his son Isaac on the altar? 22 You see that faith was working with his works, and as a result of the works, faith was perfected; 23 and the Scripture was fulfilled which says, “And Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness,” and he was called a friend of God. 24 You see that a person is justified by works and not by faith alone.
