A saint is anyone who serves the Lord and that person that doesn’t worship God, is not a friend of God and not a friend of Christians. My dear friend Kathleen Braley loves the Lord very much but is afraid of the book of Revelation, cause it sounds scary and full of doom, but I tell her it is an encouraging book of God’s word. There is a teaching that the Lord will rescue His saints just before the bad get worse and spare them from gloom and doom, it is called the rapture. If that teaching or belief is true, why wasn’t God’s saints spare from suffering, trials, tribulation, or persecution? Many of God’s saints who suffered from burning at wood had tried to be like Jesus and ask the Lord to take their spirit so they are rapture, skip pain and suffering but no that didn’t happen for them. When Abel was killed by his brother Cain, the Lord knew of it and told Cain so;
When Jesus knew His time of suffering was about to begin, He asks His Father if the cup of suffering could pass, let it be, but also said, if it is thy will Lord, let it be done. If we aim to be like Christ, why not believe what Jesus said, if we love Him and the world hated Him and nailed Him to the cross, likewise the world will hate and persecute any the lives and preaches as He did and His Spirit still does, why wasn’t Jesus raptured before going to the cross.
Romans 8:32 He who did not spare [even] His own Son, but gave Him up for us all, how will He not also, along with Him, graciously give us all things?
When someone comes along that is either evil or people don’t like they will label them the Antichrist. The early Christians called the Roman Empire Nero the Antichrist, Napoleon, Adolf Hitler, President Obama and President Trump were all rumored to be the Antichrist, but it was Nero who had a war with Christian. The apostle Paul and Peter were both executed by Nero, and Nero’s mission was to rid the Roman Empire of those followers of Christ Jesus’ teaching. Christians were seen as a virus to Nero, much like the COVID-19 or cancer is to modern society. Nero tried many ways to get a person to deny Christ or die a horrible cruel way. The apostle Paul beheaded, Peter, die on a cross upside down, other Christians put it in the Roman Colosseum as a form of entertainment but they were executed, either on a cross, eaten by wild hungry lions or tigers, or covered in oil and lit on fire. Why were these Christians not rapture away to avoid torture? The Holy Scripture says the Anti-Christ is a worship figure and even if Nero murder Christian, he didn’t do it in God’s name, several Popes did in what is called the Roman CATHOLIC INQUISITION. Anyone who denies the Pope and the Catholic church teaching was called a heretic and an outlaw, where that person’s belongings could be taken and they are locked up and killed in some horrible way, to be made an example of anyone watching. The Antichrist, clearly trying to look holy, teaches holy but does not rule or shepherd the flock of Jesus with love, but with hate and murder. Many reformers, like Martin Luther and William Tyndale, label the Pope as the Antichrist cause as he pretends to be holy but is far from it. Even in modern days Pope such he is flexible with the LGBTQ since they’re a group of members of the church who live such a lifestyle. More flexible on divorce also as where the church used to be very strict and that is why the church of England was formed, so King Henry could divorce his wife and look right away by a church. He also denies any sexual abuse done by the church clergy saying there is no solid proof, many people have point fingers for years for doing such abuse to young children, so it is very easy to see so many anti-Christ like ways the church is practicing and will continue until the Lord comes.
