Revelation 12:1-2 The BC Sign and The AD Mark

Revelation 12:1-2

1 A great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars; 2 and she was pregnant and she cried out, being in labor and in pain to give birth.

Revelation chapter 12:1-2 is about God keeping His promise to Israel, different Bible scholars, churches pastors, priests and teachers will say or believe the woman in the Bible passages is either Israel, the church or even Mary.  In most of my Bible teachings, I like to use the first book of the Holy Bible and Genesis is about creation, the beginning of life, the beginning of and the covenant promise of seed who save all mankind from death and sin. If there is any woman in all of scripture who wanted forgiveness for her mistake and not trusting God’s voice 100% it would be Adam’s wife Eve. It was Eve, who trusted the serpent to reach out with her hand to grab the forbidden fruit, took a bite and gave some to her husband. Because of her disobedience, sin entered the world mothers would have labor pain during giving birth. The woman in Revelation 12:1-2 experienced labor pains when giving birth, but God told Eve, her child the seed, would bruise the forehead of the lying serpent.

Genesis 3:15 And I will put enmity Between you and the woman, And between your seed and her Seed; He shall bruise your head, And you shall bruise His heel.” 16 To the woman He said: “I will greatly multiply your sorrow and your conception; In pain you shall bring forth children; Your desire shall be for your husband, And he shall rule over you.”

Revelation 12:1-2 is the Biblical prophecy of the Messiah birth that was written about in the gospel of Matthew and Luke,  which was foretold in the Old Testament. The second coming and God’s judgment is what the book of Revelation is about, people will separate and judge by who they worship, the beast who is the devil or the Lord. December 25 (Christmas) was set aside by the Roman Catholic Church, as Christ’s birth even when that date isn’t in scripture and there really , a commandment to remember Jesus’ birthday. The holiday of Christmas is celebrated by believers of Jesus and non-believers. Jesus the Messiah is the true sign from heaven, He is the true gift from God and only those who accept and worship Him, will not accept the mark of the beast or worship the serpent the Devil.  Immanuel (God with us) is the true gift from heaven, the sign of salvation and if anyone rejects Immanuel or does not worship Him, they can not be saved. The modern day calendar was made by Pope Gregory XIII and it is broken into two parts; BC (Before Christ) and  anno Domini (AD), but life and time existed before Jesus the Messiah’s birth.  Jesus the Messiah , in the book of Revelation is called Alpha and Omega, the author of God’s word, the beginning and the end, therefore if the woman in Revelation 12:1-2 is Israel, or if she is God’s church, then only those who remain faithful,  loyalty and worship  to Him, will be saved from their sins and not perish with those who didn’t.
