Psalm 24:3-6 Climbing the Mountain of God
3 Who may climb the mountain of the Lord? Who may stand in his holy place? 4 Only those whose hands and hearts are pure, who do not worship idols and never tell lies. 5 They will receive the Lord’s blessing and have a right relationship with God their savior. 6 Such people may seek you and worship in your presence, O God of Jacob. Interlude
Walking with the Lord and having a relationship with Him is like climbing a mountain. Only those following Him take the steps He takes, always keeping your eyes on Him as He leads up the hill. Pure hands will ask the Lord, please, Jesus, to lift me from this mountain. Pure hearts don’t give up if the weather gets uncomfortable, the mountainside looks too steep, or wild animals want to make you a meal. Only listen to His word of truth. Words that come out of the mouth will be twisted and lies. Let your worship be; don’t let anything distract your walk or relationship with the Lord. The blessings start when your walk with the Lord begins at the bottom of the mountain and keeps with you until you reach the top. While walking up the hill, there will be times when standing up and putting one foot in front of the other. Times you climbing up the mountain, you will be on your hands and knees. The elements will be uncomfortable, with bad weather or wildlife of the mountain may want you for a meal.
Remember, your Lord the Shepherd wants to help you up the mountain cause He is the king of glory, and by His name and guidance, He will guide you and protect you and me up the dark paths of the mountains, for His name sake, not yours. My brothers and sisters pray for me as I go up this mountain of life, and likewise, I will keep studying God’s word and teach you what I learn. God is good, and the King of Glory is the Lord of the mountain. God bless you all; Jesus loves you, and so do I. Samuel J Head.
