Psalm 23:3 Restored By Abba Father, My Shepherd
When I think of Psalm 23, I think of the times my dad would see a classic vehicle passed by and He would say, “ Hey look at that car,”. He would take me to car shows to awesome awesome cars of all ages, past and present. My father had a beautiful red 1969 Ford Galaxie 500 convertible self , but the neighbor cut a ripe ragtop. My father was upset for a little while but took the opportunity to get the car restored a little more. He took the car to a local upholstery shop . He had the seat covered with red and with leather, and a whole new convertible top. After all the work he had done to the Galaxie he ended up selling it, probably to a very happy person. My father died in 1995 but before his death, he helped me and my siblings in many ways, for me he would help me buy a car. So he took me to a local automobile auction and we would see all kinds of vehicles. I remember seeing a corvette stingray, a classic mustang and even once a van that was once an ambulance. Once he bought me a Peugeot, that is an automobile made in France. Everything looked good, only that the Peugeot didn’t drive forward just backwards, somehow at a place where everything is sold, As is and no money back, my father got his money returned. One night l saw the car I really wanted, I asked my father what kind of car it was and he said a Plymouth Roadrunner and it looked completely restored and purple with black trim. The vehicles at the auto auction usually had the keys in the ignition, so open the car door and crank the car up, when my father heard car run he said the HEMI engine had sound like no other car and very fast, and he told me to press the horn, when I did, it sound like the classic roadrunner from the Looney Toons. I ask can I please have this car, he said no, you will kill yourself in this car, too much horsepower for your lead foot. My heavenly Father knows me like my earthly father knew me. Living my life my way would lead me to an empty meaningless life without much purpose, spiritual death. Funny how driving a car very fast is called having lead foot and Psalm 23:2 say the Shepherd lead His sheep to quiet still water. By allowing the Shepherd to take the steering wheel like Carrie Underwood’s song says, He restores me and all who surrender to His direction life can be like cruising in a fully restored dream car of your choice. A gas tank full of fuel, no seatbelt needed, cause you know you can’t die, the music playing is songs of praise and worship and you sing along. Do yourself a favor my brothers and sister, if you haven’t , tell the Lord Jesus Christ to be your Shepherd. By doing so He will begin to restore you, to the life the Shepherd has always wanted to live, for His name sake not your or mine. God bless you all, the Shepherd loves you and so do I. Samuel J Head.
1 Samuel 12:21 You must not turn away, for then you would go after futile things which cannot profit or rescue, because they are futile. 22 The Lord will not abandon His people for His great name’s sake, because the Lord has been pleased to make you a people for Himself. 23 Moreover, as for me, far be it from me that I should sin against the Lord by ceasing to pray for you; but I will instruct you in the good and right way.

Great post and I always loved the roadrunner!
Yes a very car to see,
Funny the similarities in your post with my life, my father had a 64 red convertible galaxie 500, then my step dad had a 73 roadrunner.
Yes very funny, I think complained it was gas hog
