Psalm 22:9-10 Honor Mom and Love God the Father

Psalm 22:9-10  

9 Yet You are He who brought me forth from the womb; You made me trust when upon my mother’s breasts. 10 I was cast upon You from birth; You have been my God from my mother’s womb.

In the prophetic words of Messiah crucifixion in  Psalms 22, Jesus is giving thanks to His Father God for His mother Mary. So many Christian churches and followers of God, believe Jesus death on the cross done away with the laws in the Old Testament. In the passage of Psalm 22:9-10 He obeyed the 5th commandment by honoring His mother Mary that the Lord God gave to Jesus.

Exodus 20:12 “Honor your father and your mother, so that your days may be prolonged on the land which the Lord your God gives you.

Mary and Joseph were picked by God for a reason to raise His Son, Jesus as He grew up. They both did their duty as parents but during the time of raising Him they both loved Jesus very much and if we read scripture very well, you will learn that both Mary and Joseph had forgotten Jesus was the Son of God the Father.

Luke 2:48  When Joseph and Mary saw Him, they were bewildered; and His mother said to Him, “Son, why have You treated us this way? Behold, Your father and I have been anxiously looking for You!” 49 And He said to them, “Why is it that you were looking for Me? Did you not know that I had to be in My Father’s house?” 50 And yet they on their part did not understand the statement which He had made to them.

It is hard to believe that Mary, who heard and saw an angel tell her, she would give birth to the Son of God, while she was still a virgin. But we read and learn in Luke 2:48, Mary calls Joseph Jesus’ father. The best way to get to know the ways of God the Father is by Jesus, cause He is the way the truth, Jesus tells His followers this in John chapter 14:6. As a matter of fact, chapter 14 of John, a person who gets their daily bread will learn the best way to know about Jesus and God, and it all by honor and love. Jesus says if you and I love Him keep the commandments, (John 14:15). John chapter 14 continues to say we will not be orphans if we have Jesus’ commandments, if we love Him, and the more we do so the more Jesus will be revealed to us, (John 14:21-22). Just like my name is Samuel Head, cause I am the son of Jerry Head, if we want to be seen as Christian, we follow the words of Jesus, cause we love Him. God the Father will love us, because we show we love His Son and give us eternal life, (John 3:16) which is a reward for honoring our parents, and God is our Father Creator. By keeping the words the commandments of Jesus, both Him, the  Holy Spirit and God the Father will dwell in us and show us how to live like children of God, (John 14:22-23). So in all, we can receive a prolonged life, not only by keeping the 5th commandment but all of them, but that is very difficult without following Jesus and allowing His Spirit to live in us. I hope you do this or else scripture says you will have another father.

John 8:44 You are of your father the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth because there is no truth in him. Whenever he tells a lie, he speaks from his own nature, because he is a liar and the father of lies.

So if the commandments of the Old Testament or of God are done away with, can we get to know Jesus or God by doing whatever we want. Will those who don’t follow Jesus’ word and honor His Father have prolonged life? Let’s ask the word of God.
