Psalm 22:27-28 The World In God’s Hands
27 All the ends of the earth will remember and turn to the Lord, and all the families of the nations will worship before You. 28 For the kingdom is the Lord’s and He rules over the nations.
In the NASB English translation of scripture in the headliner of Psalm 22 is A Cry of Anguish and a Song of Praise. In times of hardship and tribulations, a song of praise that is sung to give glory to God Almighty helps a troubled soul forget about, forget about their current circumstances. The classical song “He’s Got the Whole World in His Hands” is a good example of such a song. The origins of the song is unknown, which is odd for such a cheerful song that is sung by children and by many recording artists worldwide. According to the Liberty of Congress the song may have been created by African slaves, either by one or a community. Now I never was a slave or forced to labor against my will, and most of the time when I did labor I was paid. No one in America, Christian or non-believer has experience such horror as slavery since end in 1865, but slavery still exit. The major slavery that still exist is sin and the people of the world suffer cause of suffering and death it causes. In the NLT Bible verses 27 of Psalm 22 say this; The whole earth will acknowledge the Lord and return to him. All the families of the nations will bow down before him. To have freedom away from the world of sin, we must be like the African slave of early American, and make a song in our hearts sing with our mouths, God has the whole world in His hands. The beauty of the song, it doesn’t leave anyone out; He’s got the little bitty baby in his hands, He’s got you and me, brother, in his hands, He’s got the whole world in his hands. He’s got you and me sister in his hands, He’s got ev’rybody in his hands. He’s got ev’rybody in his hands. He’s got the whole world in his hands. Put yourself in the minds of African’s slaves who created this beautiful song. God has the brothers, sister, God has the little bitty baby that is born into slavery of labor and sin in His hands, God has slave masters who force people into labor to benefit the owners pockets , in His hands. God has my brothers and sister, all over the world that are experiencing and living in this world of suffering in His hands. The true way to escape current suffering in this sinful world, is to reflect on God’s glory and to know His kingdom will be lasting, remaining to rule for all eternity. Praise Him and say no matter what, God has the whole world in His hands. God bless you all, the Lord loves you and so do I. Samuel J Head.
