Psalm 118:8 Who Should You Trust
Psalm 118:8 It is better to take refuge in the Lord Than to trust in man.
(Psalm 118:8) Happens to be the Bible verse, that is directly in the middle of the Holy Bible. The more I read it & understand it, I don’t think it was an accident or by coincidence. No person no matter if they are father, mother, husband, wife, son, daughter or even a life long best friend, that person might let you down. I remember once while driving home away from work, it was Christmas Eve, I was driving past what looked like a murder scene. A body was covered at a traffic light & the police were there, & I thought how sad, someone killed on Christmas Eve. Couple days later, I was reading the newspaper. The man had parked his truck at a traffic light & got out & killed himself. He had done it because his wife he was married to for many years had left him for a man. The news article had said the heart broken man , had given all his children & grandchildren their Christmas presents just before he decided to take his final drive.
Luke 14:26“If anyone comes to Me, and does not hate his own father and mother and wife and children and brothers and sisters, yes, and even his own life, he cannot be My disciple.
It can be very easy for us to put our trust in someone that we can touch or kiss & see with our own eyes . If Adam had more trust in God more than Eve, we wouldn’t suffer because of his failure to put a his refuge in his Lord & sometimes you can’t trust a man who preaches the word of God, not even myself. Dear brothers & sisters, do not put any person over your God & Creator, that goes against the first Commandment. You will not be disappointed if you put all your trust in God.
