Proverbs 9:7-9 Susie-Q Where Are You?

Proverbs 9:7-9

7 Anyone who rebukes a mocker will get an insult in return. Anyone who corrects the wicked will get hurt. 8 So don’t bother correcting mockers; they will only hate you. But correct the wise, and they will love you. 9 give instruction to a wise person and he will become still wiser; Teach a righteous person and he will increase his insight

As the oldest child in the family, when I gave my life to Christ my family was learning I had decided to do such.  I was rebellious and did whatever I felt like, I met a man named Gene Goins and he sold drugs, mostly marijuana and he nicknamed me Sammy don’t give a damny. Before I met him, my family had seen me party very hard and live my life trying to be good but wild and free. I have repented to God for the sins of my foolish youth, and I am not perfect by far. If my sins still cause problems, it is because my family sometimes friends will bring my past up if I try to say scripture is against something they do or how they live. I love my family and want to share with them how much more blessing it is serving God and to have a purpose in life rather than to chase worldly treasure and pleasures. My youngest sister, Susie was once married but the marriage didn’t work out and she raised her children mostly herself. Her relationships, boyfriends would come and go, most would live with her, and got engaged once, otherwise her relationship according to God’s word is adultery and fornication. Now that her children are older, two of them are living the same way, so sin was taught and sin is a normal way of living disobedient to God’s word is completely okay. This Bible passage does not try to correct a  scoffer or mocker or they will hate you and you bring dishonor to yourself. Scoffers laugh at the ideas you share even if they are God’s word. Even if you see that their life is out of order and that they are spiritually lost. That person like my sister and her children is happy in doing their will and not God’s. I love my sister and I love her children, likewise with all of my family but other than Christmas, Easter, Thanksgiving, if they go to worship, or in desperate need of food or money or if someone is sick or the occasional funeral talking about God, is not a welcome subject. Many like to say, do not judge or only God can judge me, but the word of God, also say you can tell a tree by the fruit it bears, and my family members also say they believe in God, but the same word of God says not everyone who calls God Lord will enter into heaven, only those who live by God the Father’s will. Entering into heaven takes more than belief in God, the Bible says demons believe the Lord is God, but they don’t do His will but the will of the devil cause their will is better.

James 2:19 You believe that God is one. You do well; the demons also believe and shudder.

Matthew 7:17  So every good tree bears good fruit, but the bad tree bears bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 So then, you will know them by their fruits.21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter.

So for now on and forevermore with my family and especially with those who don’t care to do God’s will, I will not tell them if their life doesn’t reflect God’s glory or they are going to live a life that leads to death and destruction. A heart that isn’t happy serving Jesus here on earth would not be happy in the kingdom of heaven. I will pray for them and ask you, my family of God, my brothers and sisters in Christ, to ask that my family open their hearts to the amazing love of God. God bless you all, the Lord Jesus loves you and so do I, Samuel J H.

2 Thessalonians 2:8  Then that lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will eliminate with the breath of His mouth and bring to an end by the appearance of His coming; 9 that is, the one whose coming is in accord with the activity of Satan, with all power and false signs and wonders, 10 and with all the deception of wickedness for those who perish, because they did not accept the love of the truth so as to be saved. 11 For this reason God will send upon them a deluding influence so that they will believe what is false, 12 in order that they all may be judged who did not believe the truth, but took pleasure in wickedness.
