Proverbs 7:6-11 She’s Got The Looks That Kill

Proverbs 7:6-11 

6 For at the window of my house I looked through my lattice, 7 And saw among the simple, I perceived among the youths, A young man devoid of understanding, 8 Passing along the street near her corner; And he took the path to her house 9 In the twilight, in the evening, In the black and dark night. 10 And there a woman met him, With the attire of a harlot, and a crafty heart. 11 She was loud and rebellious, Her feet would not stay at home.

A simple-minded man is out at sunset and is opened minded to anything, he is basically in anything good. A nosey neighbor looks out their window, peeking through lattice or blinds, sometimes the wise, want to see how the foolish life and be grateful they don’t live a meaningless life that is self-serving. It’s sunset and when it’s near dark, the open simple-minded go about the town, the street corner cause there is where simple people stop to who or what is going on. A crafty harlot is there and in Biblical times a harlot is easy to spot. In the Old Testament and even early New Testament, a harlot makes herself known, like a flashy billboard sign. She is dressed in a way to make herself look more appealing, she is wearing make-up to stand out among the godly women. The person peeking through the window, maybe be a woman, ladies are usually a little curious about their surroundings, keeping up with the Jones, but guys are curious sometimes also. Proverbs 7:6-11, really saying here that when an open simple mind person is looking for something to do, they will find it. A harlot is the opposite is different a godly, she doesn’t practice modesty, she is like a black widow female spider. Is harlot a lot like a female black widow spider and is the simple man, like the male lover, who usually become his sex partner’s meal? A harlot sells her attention, her looks are enhanced either with fake hair, nails, make-up made of earthly material. When her customer’s money is all gone, her attention is all gone and she is like a female black widow spider, she does away with him, and then she waits for her next meal. The book of Proverbs wisdom teaches the sons and daughters of God, be wise by children, don’t seek empty meaningless temporary love that is in harlots or even idols. The heavenly Father God is consuming, His love doesn’t consume you and make you disappear or make your efforts meaningless. When you and I give Him our attention and our love, He makes you and I a part of His family, and everlasting life is gain, not death. In fact, you have been worse than a prostitute, so eager for sin that you have not even demanded payment. 32 Yes, you are an adulterous wife who takes in strangers instead of her own husband. 33 Prostitutes charge for their services—but not you! You give gifts to your lovers, bribing them to come and have sex with you. 34 So you are the opposite of other prostitutes. You pay your lovers instead of their paying you!
