Proverbs 7:19-23 The World Is A Vampire
As my relationship and walk with the Lord get closer and closer the world of sin we live in looks more unpleasant and I can’t wait to live in the kingdom of heaven. The more I read God’s word, I can see a lot more of the Lord in my life I need more and see how others also need the Lord more also. The Lord is the Bridegroom and the church is His bride, the church is waiting for the bridegroom Jesus to return to His bride the children of God to paradise in heaven. As a Christian, I learn to hate the types of sinful lifestyle the world is against, but sometimes I chase those lifestyles myself. As a fan of rock n roll music, when I read words written in Proverbs 7:19-23, I think of the Smashing Pumpkins’ song “ Bullets With Butterfly Wings”. The song starts out with lyrics like these, “ The world is a vampire, sent to drain Secret destroyers, hold you up to the flames And what do I get, for my pain? Betrayed desires, and a piece of the game “Even though I know – I suppose I’ll show, All my cool and cold-like old Job, Despite all my rage I am still just a rat in a cage, Despite all my rage I am still just a rat in a cage, Then someone will say what is lost can never be saved, Despite all my rage I am still just a rat in a cage, Now I’m naked, nothing but an animal, But can you fake it, for just one more show? And what do you want? I want to change And what have you got, when you feel the same? There is no doubt we live in a beautiful world, but even so, this world is very evil and full of all kinds of dangers. A vampire needs to like a seductive harlot, and when feels like they met their soulmate, the vampire drains their victim of their lifeblood. The problems with some Christian, they have comfortable with sin and sometimes accept and embrace sin. Children of God die daily, and in many ways, either by strangers or at home by their family from child abuse or abortion. When people feel upset about injustices what do they do, they loot, destroy property, or even hurt others. Christians feel upset when one government leader they like loses power, or when leader others take powers. Does that mean, Christain have put more faith in presidents, kings, emperors, governors, majors, or the police rather than the King of glory God? If Christians make themselves harlots to the seductive lifestyles of this sinful world, then we will miss out when Jesus the bridegroom returns. As a bond-servant of the Lord Jesus Christ, I should tell you, He is coming soon, and if you and I are not ready or being unfaithful to our first love. Our relationship with Jesus should, should be visible as the wedding dress, even more so like wearing the full armor of God. No temptation or seduction of the devil, he throws at us will work, if we are fully submitted with a strongly faithful to our heavenly Father. God bless you all, the Lord Jesus Christ loves you and so do I, Samuel H
