Proverbs 7:10-15 Chasing Empty Meaningless Love
Prostitution is the business of selling sexual service, it is called the world’s oldest profession. Prostitution has many forms, legal in someplace and illegal in many, there are street prostitutes and internet prostitutes. Some may not see pornography and exotic strip dancing as prostitution, but it is all about gaining income for sexual lust and it all is a part of the sex industry. Some say they are providing a service to a man or a woman who feels lonely, but ultimately it is about benefiting themselves, like putting money in their pockets. Even since social media exist, websites like MySpace, Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter, young ladies like to take very attractive appealing, and very revealing photos of themselves. Most ladies will say, that they are just proud of their beauty and call their body artwork, so they want to share their beauty with the world. Now some website exists, to help ladies and some guys gain income by selling very intimate images of themselves and the numbers of ladies and guys asking for websites like these to help them keep track and collect income is increasing more and more every day. Many still may not see it as prostitution or being a harlot, but according to God’s word, the act of sex or lust starts within the thoughts of our minds.
Matthew 5:27 “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery’; 28 but I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman with lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.
Recently my mother asks about my blogs and noticing the pattern of the book of Proverbs series, and I think I heard her say, why are you making women look so bad. Personally, I am not, but when it comes to prostitution generally there is more female prostitute than males. Male prostitutes are called gigolos, I remember hearing the word gigolo when I heard David Lee Roth sing the song, “ I’m Just A Gigolo, “. I taught it was a catchy tune. I remember asking my dad, what is gigolo, daddy, he said that is a male prostitute, and I and what is a prostitute, my dad said someone who sells sex. The lyric of the song say basically say the same thing as scripture, selling sex or love is empty and the person will end up sad and lonely again. The lyric of, “ I Just A Gigolo, ‘ continue to say, no one cares about me, when youth pass away, what will they say about me, life will go on with me. As sons and daughters of God, we should seek and offer real love, not empty temporary love that and bought or sold. Not love base on physical attraction, not love base on sexual satisfaction. A child of God, should seek the love of someone who loves themselves so much so that have share revealing images with all the eyes viewing the international internet. True love gives and to benefit those who want to say, “ thank you for giving me your times, your attention and letting me know, I matter to someone, God bless you, I truly appreciate your real love.
