Proverbs 7:1-3 My Father’s Word In My Heart
Words of wisdom taught by the Father to His children are words of love, God’s law is instructions for a long life full of harmony. The book of Proverbs was written during the time of the old covenant which goes with 45 other books of the Old Testament. The word covenant means an agreement and that is what is happening in the conversation in Proverbs 7:1-3, My son, My child, listen to my commandment and live and your Father will be very happy. This conversation is all over scripture, between God and His people, obey God’s voice ( word ), and live. Noah was given the covenant promise by God Him, go build an ark Noah, follow my instruction on how to build such a lifesaving boat, and you and your family will not perish.
The word of God says Noah was obedient and his family didn’t die while the rest of humanity drown in death in the judgment of God’s flooding rain. Later in the book of Moses, Exodus, God gave His instruction once again, obey His voice and you will be His people and He will be your God, and all the earth will know you are His.
The whole earth is God and all the people that dwell in it He made, but not all people on earth follow God’s word, so technically His isn’t their God, cause sadly they do what is right in their own eyes. The condition of the covenant offered by God is to obey His voice, His Word, and be His people and He will be your God. God did not break His part of the agreement of the Old Covenant but the people did and they truly didn’t care. They didn’t care cause they didn’t have the love for God or His laws of love in their hearts, so God made a new covenant but it repeats what was in the first covenant, have the laws of God within the hearts who truly love God and want to be His children and so He can be their God. God bless you all the Lord loves you and so do I. Samuel J H
Hebrews 8:7 For if that first covenant had been free of fault, no circumstances would have been sought for a second. 8 For in finding fault with the people, He says, “Behold, days are coming, says the Lord, When I will bring about a new covenant With the house of Israel and the house of Judah, 9 Not like the covenant which I made with their fathers On the day I took them by the hand To bring them out of the land of Egypt; For they did not continue in My covenant, And I did not care about them, says the Lord. 10 For this is the covenant which I will make with the house of Israel After those days, declares the Lord: I will put My laws into their minds, And write them on their hearts. And I will be their God, And they shall be My people.
