Proverbs 6:20-23 Obey God And Love Others

Proverbs 6:20-23

20 My son, comply with the commandment of your father, And do not ignore the teaching of your mother; 21 Bind them continually on your heart; Tie them around your neck. 22 When you walk, they will guide you; When you sleep, they will watch over you; And when you awake, they will talk to you. 23 For the commandment is a lamp and the teaching is light, And rebukes for discipline are the way of life.

Proverbs 6:20-23 help answers what is said in Proverbs 6:19 when it says there are six things the Lord hates and seven are an abomination to Him. What is an abomination to God and to mankind my different according to each eyesight or what is or isn’t proper? Same-sex relationship ( homosexuality) and abortion is an automatic abomination for most Christian but to God’s eyes. The secular definition of abomination is anything greatly disliked or something regarded with disgust or hatred. God hates abmonination, but yet God loves all of His creation, He loves the sinner but hates the sin. Many times in the Holy Bible it written, love Me and keep my commandments, and that is written in Proverbs 6:20 my son comply with your father’s commandment. When a child makes a mistakes doesn’t matter is little mistake or a big messy mistake, the parent  needs to give correctional discipline. Both child and parent are unhappy after a mistake is made, the child my see that mom and dad are upset and may feel, they don’t love them anymore. The good good Father loves all His children, like a good momma and daddy love their little ones, so after correction is given, He say remember I love you, go and sin no more.  The  things God hates is abomination committed to each others, that means all humanity, family, friends, enemies.

Romans 13:9  For this, “You shall not commit adultery, You shall not murder, You shall not steal, You shall not covet,” and if there is any other commandment, it is summed up in this saying, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” 10 Love does no wrong to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the Law.

James 2:8  If, however, you are fulfilling the royal law according to the Scripture, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself,” you are doing well. 9 But if you show partiality, you are committing sin and are convicted by the Law as violators. 10 For whoever keeps the whole Law, yet stumbles in one point, has become guilty of all. 11 For He who said, “Do not commit adultery,” also said, “Do not murder.” Now if you do not commit adultery, but do murder, you have become a violator of the Law.

Loving others is what the Lord truly desires, but does that mean, He doesn’t want us to love Him, that is the beauty of the 10 commandments and the kind of relationship He is truly like earthly parents. Good momma and daddies want their children, brother and sisters to love each other, with pure love and not hate at all. If is a delight when the whole family have meal together , it is horrible when siblings hate each other and have to visit parents at different times. Funerals are bad times for sibling to meet and pay repeat to their dead parents, love is not good given to a dead person. Please honor your parents, love your siblings , love your enemies or basically all humanity. God loves you and so do I. Samuel J H

John 13:33  Little children, I am still with you a little longer. You will look for Me; and just as I said to the Jews, now I also say to you: ‘Where I am going, you cannot come.’ 34 I am giving you a new commandment, that you love one another; just as I have loved you, that you also love one another. 35 By this all people will know that you are My disciples: if you have love for one another.”

2 John 3  Grace, mercy, and peace will be with us, from God the Father and from Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love. 4 I was overjoyed to find some of your children walking in truth, just as we have received a commandment to do from the Father. 5 Now I ask you, lady, not as though I were writing to you a new commandment, but the one which we have had from the beginning, that we love one another. 6 And this is love, that we walk according to His commandments. This is the commandment, just as you have heard from the beginning, that you are to walk in it.
