Proverbs 6:18 Salvation Is God’s Plan
A heart that devises wicked plans, Feet that run rapidly to evil,
Children of Father God, should always hearts that want to do His will, always desiring to do good for Him and love others. Most Christian know and agree we are saved by grace, but what does that grace mean, does it mean the Lord turns His eyes from good or bad behavior? In Genesis chapter 6, the Lord’s heart hated the deadly sins of mankind, and He wanted to destroy all the wicked. Out of all people of the world, God found favor and grace in one man, that the word of God calls righteous.
Since Noah had favor and grace in God’s eyes, the Lord gave him plans for salvation for him and Noah’s family as well. God gave Noah instructions, detail, or blueprints to build a boat, the ark. The ark would float on top of the floodwaters that God was going to use to annihilate all of the wicked. Just like God’s words to Noa gave him plans and detail how to build a very large boat to save him and his family. Because God loved Noah, a person who hates God, or should I say, loves themselves more than God, has plans in their heart to sin against God’s word. In my past I was personally guilty of saying in my heart, hey I want to do this wicked sin the Holy Bible says in sin, but hey, my God is loving and with His grace, I repent of my wicked sin I plan to do and later ask God for forgiveness That kind of thinking might make sense to a wicked person, but that is like those who shed innocent blood and just after the harm is done to a person, standing over them and saying, “ Oh I sorry I ending your life and your future existence, but I love you,”. The Holy Bible to God’s children is just like Noah’s blueprints to saved them from future destruction, by grace they are saved, by following the plans in God’s words they will escape the destruction God will do to those who hate following God’s instructions. Since Noah was saved by grace in Genesis 6:8 of the Old Testament and by obeying the plans of God safe from death and destruction, is that the New Testament says?
1 Peter 3:20 those who disobeyed God long ago when God waited patiently while Noah was building his boat. Only eight people were saved from drowning in that terrible flood. 21 And that water is a picture of baptism, which now saves you, not by removing dirt from your body, but as a response to God from a clean conscience. It is effective because of the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Nowhere is written the six things the Lord hates and that seven are an abomination to Him are called the seven deadly sins, in the scripture of Proverbs 6:16-19, but disobeying God’s word does lead to death. When a person says he or she is saved by grace but their faith follows the plans of salvation, do they love to want God’s love or hate? Whose plans are you following right now, yours or God’s? God bless you all, the Lord Jesus loves you and so do I. Samuel J H
Matthew 24:35 Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will not pass away. 36 “But about that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father alone. 37 For the coming of the Son of Man will be just like the days of Noah. 38 For as in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage until the day that Noah entered the ark, 39 and they did not understand until the flood came and took them all away; so will the coming of the Son of Man be.
