Proverbs 6:17 Truth Is Not Deadly
Haughty eyes, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,
Giving praise and worship to God, love and the truth is all that should come out the mouth of a child of God, anything else is lies. God hates lies, and so do many other people. To be honest with you, not long ago, I told many lies many times. My mother knew I was the lair my friends knew and some of my church family learned also. So I pray to God to help me with my lying tongue, He has helped me a great deal, and continues to help me. Is there a time when lying is acceptable or okay, is there a difference between a big lie or a little white lie? In Proverbs 6:16-17, it says there are six things God hates seven that are an abomination, so is there ever anytime God changes what He loves and hates? The who love God, names are written in the book of life, and it those people who will live in some the paradise of the kingdom of heaven. What the word of God calls an abomination in Proverbs is still an abomination in the book of Revelation and their names are not in the book of life.
Revelation 21:27 and nothing unclean, and no one who practices abomination and lying, shall ever come into it, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb’s book of life.
My father taught me some wise words and told me once oh how much hates liars, cause if a person will lie to you and they will most likely steal from you also. Many people lie for many reasons, to make themself look good or to not disappoint anyone, to get out a traffic ticket, or call into work and pretend to sick or a family member died. Most times when a lie is told, more and other lies have to tell to support the first lie, a little white lie may become a bunch of more lies. We call ourselves Christians to learning live by the teachings of Christ, just like I ask God to help me to tell the truth more, I want to show others that I worship the God of truth and my words have no falsehood in them, only my words have value. I don’t want my Father God to hate me, nor do I want to hate anyone, so I use my tongue to speak words of truth, not meaningless lies. Samuel J Head
